New model for OWK three holes saber... (New pics on pg 13. 11-17-2024)

Will you be adding in the groove to hold the o-ring? You can see the highlight along the edge in this pic from the first page of the thread.

If this hilt had an Ep.1 Emitter would it be accurate to that movie at all? I know there was alot of wonkiness to the Ep. 1 prop so this hilt might not have those.

Very different shapes. The handle is thicker, pommel is different, looks like the step-down at the neck is less complex, etc.
Also Starkiller's already made a TPM hilt. He collaborated with Dewy on it. Can't remember if it's static or FX though (pretty sure it was an accurate materials static)

The TPM saber I made with Drew was static. It was made from Aluminum and Delrin.
This one is all metal, and it is capable of taking a blade and electronics.
The body shape is different from the TPM version. However, it's still closer to the TPM version than a lot of replicas out there.
The saber will come with 3 different emitters and two different activation buttons in case you want to build it into the AOTC hero or a FX TPM hero.
Here's a quick comparison of the two versions

Is there any difference in the general geometry/dimensions between the Three Hole and the AOTC hero besides the emitter?

We really don't know. This is the only photo we have of a hero (that is metal) saber being used during AOTC

In every other clear image that we have of Ewan using a saber in AOTC we see a chrome resin stunt saber, which is a casting of the TPM hero saber.

(If anyone is interested in my speculation/best guess... I think this is a different saber from TPM. To replicate it for my collection, I plan to build up one of these new salt shaker sabers by polishing the body, using the AOTC emitter and red button (which are supplied with the kit), and replacing the ROTS led bezels (that will come with the kit) with the BULGIN dx1093 led bezels, which seem to match the AOTC saber better)

Thanks for the info guys, I know about the TPM by AS/Dewy but I wasn't around at the time. I'm not a fan of the three hole emitter but with the extras included this is a no brainer to pick up.

I was thinking about this yesterday. Not to derail your thread, but I agree. I think the saber we see in the photo you posted is the same saber that was on display at Skywalker Ranch years ago shown here:

Something about the Obi saber in these three photos makes me think it’s not the original TPM hero. It’s like it’s an early salt shaker before they actually added the salt shaker emitter.

Definitely need more shots of that one

Just to be clear, those are not my photos, and those are the only two I have. They are from a blog post from someone who visited the ranch around the time Episode 1 was released in 3D. I guess they put a bunch of TPM stuff on display. I have reached out to the person in the past, but never got a response. I will try again.
