Howdy Howdy

I am a cosplayer in Sacramento, I was looking around the web for a Kaines Scarlet Spiderman costume and I found this site. I figured I would join up because I am always looking for people to help me put together costumes. I have zero crafting and sewing skills, HOWEVER I have a unique ability to craft costumes together out of every day items. Such as my Red Arrow costume or my Jason Todd (But no symbol)

I expect some of you will see me around looking to shop for some designs

Hey all, I've always dreamed about building props for myself and for cosplayers (not a cosplayer myself mind you) but I'm in it for the creative process. I was told this is a good/masterful resource (depending on who I spoke to lol). So here I am.

Hello!
My full avatar name is TheOnlyShapeshifter, but you can refer to me as Shape.
I'm a (self-proclaimed) professional Doctor (Who) cosplayer and prop-builder who operates out of Florida, and I've been lurking on The RPF since about '11.
As of this message, I'm only 18 years old.

I'm really interested in learning how to create highly detailed 99-100% screen accurate props... it, along with cosplay, is my passion.

I attend numerous conventions, and with Metrocon 2014 coming up, I'm working on my 3rd and final cosplay for all 3 days; the 5th Doctor... I've previously cosplayed the 4th, 10th, and 11th(with great success).

Thanks!

Greetings all! I found this forum by extensively searching for information on how to go about building a replica DL-44 Heavy Blaster used by Han Solo in Star Wars. This is a secondary project as my main interest and new hobby is custom modifying lightsaber hilts, specifically for use in choreographed or freestyle lightsaber dueling. I am a student/quote specialist in the fragrance industry. I just go by Ben.

Hey everyone!

My name is Eric,

I am pretty new to the prop world and am tackling my first costume right now. Always see the RPF come up when I am looking for the coolest inspiration,so figured it was about time I join and start posting work as I do it!

I really look forward to seeing everyone else's amazing props and learning some of the techniques as I go.

Cheers,

Eric

Hello!

I decided to register since I'm becoming more interested in making costumes. Last Fall I made a sad attempt to produce a NH stormtrooper costume for my son. I learned some new things and have more eagerness to see what trails others have faced.

I love both Sci-fi and fantasy but as far as building or making things I lean more to scifi.

Hi there, I'm a cosplayer of about 8 years! I've finally gotten a pretty good grasp on sewing and pattern drafting, now it's time to take my props to a new level and learn some more skills. I've cosplayed everything from Louise Belcher (Bob's Burgers) to Dr. Girlfriend (Venture Bros.) and I love Portal more than is probably healthy!

Hi everyone!
This is the first forum that I have ever joined! All new to this still lol!
Iv been looking through the rpf for a few days before I signed up,
I'm a huge dexter fan, and have only been collecting props & replicas for 2/3 months, but have spent a lot of money in those months....ALOT! lol
Il be posting some pics up soon once afew more items have arrived from the USA, can't get anything decent from the UK!
Anyways, I'm glad to be on here, and looking forward to discussing everything :)

Hello back to all the new members!

Hope to see you all participating and having fun! :thumbsup

Hi all, I've been researching a cyber man costume and kept being led to this site. I love the detail that's put into the costume. We have just had our comic con and had a great time.My daughters and I made a weeping angel costume.

The costume was popular with my daughter getting stopped for photos. It has turned out alright for our first prop costume.
So I might be picking some brains if I have questions on how to do things
Cheers Darryl

Luego de búsquedas varias pude encontrar un lugar donde puedo intercambiar ideas. Me gusta diseñar disfraces y trajes de todo tipo y en técnicas diversas. espero aprender de ustedes. Saludos a todos : Cool

Hello to everyone!

I'm a long time lurker, and am finally getting into some building of my own. Starting off with a MDF Hoverboard build :). It's awesome seeing the work of the members on this forum. Absolutely amazing stuff!

Hi everyone!

I introduce myself, Jonathan, I'm 23, I come from France and I'm a big fan of this art that is cosplay. I found the site via Diegator with his cosplay Gray Fox.
I'm a fan of movies, music and video games. I start cosplay, with the character of Gray Fox precisely because I am a big fan of the saga.
That's it for me, see you soon and good day or evening to you! ;)

PS: Sorry for my English, I do not talk much. ^ ^ '

Heyhey,

My name's Beck and I've kinda been browsing this site for a while, thought it would be good to be part of it!
I've got a big interest in costumes and I've only ever had the knowledge and time to make pretty rubbish versions of some of my favourite comic characters so I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this site! :)

Hey guys!

Im a fashion student who has always loved comics, cosplay and art!
Ive always checked out threads here on RPF for cosplay advice as a guest but now Ive finally made an account to be apart of this amazing community.

Ive recently cosplayed as:

Ash Ketchum
Batman
Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk)
and Captain America

Currently I'm perfecting my Captain America helmet. Through RPF and youtube Ive learned how to use pepakura. I eventually would like to build a full Iron Man suit out of foam, but right now Im a little hesitant.

Thanks for reading

Hi my names paddy I've been building props for many years for a local stage company I was introduced to this site by an untitled podcast. I'm interested in learning everything I can to improve my skills

Hello everyone. i been seeing references on facebook and other forums about rpf and i honestly didnt have a clue what folks was talking about.
So, i did a search....and here I am.

I go by DJon Ros on the MMCC forums and Knighthawk on the 501st forums. I look forward to exploring these forums and having fun building and assembling new props and projects in my spare time.

Hi all!

I've been lurking around here for awhile and thought I'd share some of the things my wife and I are working on. This community has given us a ton of ideas.
I'll be breaking it out into 4 threads.

1st the Custom Batmobile that I've been working on since September 2013.
2nd my old Custom Batmobile that I've now turned into a Wonder Woman themed car for my wife.
3rd my 2014 Batman Costume
4th her 2014 Wonder Woman Costume

You'd think we didn't have jobs... we don't however have kids so these are our babies.

Thanks for being so supportive along the way and encouraging normal people like ourselves to reach beyond and stretch our boundaries
