My wife wanted a Tardis mailbox, and since I couldn't find one to buy, I decided to try and build one.
After trying a number of options, I got the idea to use a standard wall mounted metal mailbox as a base which I covered with craft sticks and scrap wood I got from Home Depot. I painted it with exterior latex paint. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395997995.981721.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1395998025.289901.jpg
Since it is not to scale, I am having problems with coming up with signage that will be waterproof since this will be outside exposed to our Maine weather. Still need to find something to use for the light on top also. Not sure how to proceed.

Hey guys, I have been a member here for a about a year almost and thought I would say hello. I build Lazer-swords( illuminatedsabers), and display stands. See you around.

Hello all.
I'm new to the RPF, but I've used it to find tons of pepakura files. I'm from Colorado, and have always been amazed by 3d models and statues of any kind. My past projects have spanned from Star Wars, to Superheros, to many video games including the Halo franchise.

My first introduction to props was when I saw Harrison Krix(VolpinProps)'s Guy Manuel helmet. My research began and soon led me to the RPF and the 405th. I have started teaching myself how do model in Blender, and it has been a blast.

I'm happy to stop lurking around and finally put my name up.
Axios!

Hello All ! :) My name is Brandon.

You may know me as Link. I am also a member at FX-Sabers Forums & IRA Forums. Been in the Saber community since 2010. I am a soundfont maker and have many available on Saberfont.com.

Anyway, I just thought it was time to join up over here :) I'm not sure how much I will frequent this forum as I'm not really into making props or costuming but I think it's all cool and I love to see what people come up with.

Looking forward to checking out the place and I hope yall have a good one! :)

Hello everyone,
i'am looking a long time at this Forum and every time I'am amazed .
A lot of great builder and creative people are in this Forum.
After an accident a few years ago it's near impossible that i build by myself but
that's another story.
But one thing it's sure the obsession is still there!
By the way i'am from Germany so i hope everybody understand what i write! :wacko
Thanks and regards.

Hi RPFers. I'm Coop. New to props but have been building stuff forever. Come from a sculpting and makeup background but I'm in school for special effects and my teacher pointed me here. Stoked to build!

Hello everybody.

Hello all! My name is Mike. I am from Sedalia, Missouri, U.S.A. I have joined this site to get help/tip/tricks on making Cosplay armor. I am particularly interested in the Jedi Knight and Sith Acolyte armors from SWTOR. I am hoping this community will be helpful with material/parts/pattern ideas, guides/tutorials on making my first set of armor.

Hope to chat with more of you soon. Thank you for your time! :)

Greetings from California!

I'm new to the RPF; my name is Matt, and I've always been an all-around Sci-Fi addict - especially in regards to Star Wars. I'm new to props, but eager to dive in.

I'm here to learn, and enjoy participating in the community.

Thank you for having me,
-Matt

Howdy!

I'm MakotoKamui, a cosplayer & anime fan out in Oklahoma, USA. I work by hand and with a custom CNC in my garage to make props, and have been reading these forums for years - figured it was time to join up and say hello.

Hi guys!
obviously I'm new to the forum! As you can tell by my whopping single post! (So far!) A few years back I finished a 3year university course aimed at film and tv prop production, I've finished with a first and now I'm working in films! My background comprises of prop making, animatronics, moulding and fabrication. I've worked on many films and adverts and I've created a fair few movie props on commissions and a few one off personal pieces (show off pictures to come later) I'm currently making a high quality infinity blade replica, and soon to make a new silicone skinned fully animatronic head.

I have a fairly extensive knowledge of many prop making processes and materials, and I'm happy to help out any first time prop makers with any advice that may be needed.
