Hey Everybody,

I stumbled upon this site a few years back and was blown away! The work done here is fantastic and the
community is top notch. This is THE site for builders, collectors and fans. I hope to be able to contribute now
that I'm registered and not just creepily reading from afar. As of right now I haven't built anything to share.
Hopefully soon I could start a simple project. Maybe some pepakura.

Well, I look forward to getting to know other user's and good luck!

-Cheers :)

Hey! I'm new. Learning the ropes and trying my hand at scratch building. I'm saber obsessed right now. Current project: scratch Graflex replica - see you around!

Hello!!

The name is Candy. I started Cosplaying about 10 years ago. I did a quick TRAGDOR for a friend but I mostly just dressed up in costume..... no props. Last years Dragon*Con was my first time making props. I was Ashley "Ash" Williams from Evil Dead 2 and the beginning of Army of Darkness with the chainsaw arm. I didnt scrap build, I modified a toy chainsaw and gun. This year I HOPE to get 3 costumes done by Dragon*Con and two of them will be heavy on props. Below is a picture of me from Dragon*Con last year complete with Necronomipurse!!!

Hey there!
I'm James, I'm a freelance illustrator and environmental chemist currently living in Pennsylvania by way of NY and CA. I've been following this site for a while since you guys post the best reference photos! Finally decided to try my hand a prop building, and decided it was finally time to sign up and see what else I can learn.

Currently working on (thanks to things I've learned lurking here) a telescoping 8th Doctor sonic screwdriver and a custom sonic for my son so monsters won't be under his bed ;)

Howdy I'm Curt I live in Kansas. not really a cosplayer or a prop maker. What some of you guys do is great though and i hope to pick up tricks, techniques and ideas on how to make my own Stormtrooper armor. My first grandbaby is almost 2 and i wanna have a suit done for me and my son by the time he is 3 for halloween. So any info tips tricks please pass it on i got my notebook open ready to take notes.

Hello everyone my name is Virgil and I am a special effects artist and avid movie fan. I work mostly in the haunted house industry but I also make movie replicas for my self and to sell to fellow collectors. Thanks for having me on here.

Hi everyone! Long time lurker first time poster. My main focus is Indiana Jones and Star Wars. I have learned a lot of valuable info and am always amazed at the incredible amount of artistic talent there is here in the prop community. Myself, I can't draw a stick figure to save my life. Any way, Happy to be here!

Hello, there. I'm not really sure what kind of props I'm going to make, but I do have some in mind for when I finally get the money for materials.
Essentially, I like anything Sci-Fi. For the longest time, I've wanted to build a TARDIS; I'm in the process of getting the wood for it currently. I also think it'd be nice to make some Scout Trooper armor from Star Wars.

...Alright, I've looked at the other introduction posts; there's an enrollment period? Did I just get incredibly lucky, or was that removed?
EDIT: Well, maybe I should've looked at the number of pages first XD

Hi guys, my name is Shannan Grant Burnett. I am the Creator, Director, and Producer of my upcoming Sci F pilot episode:

Utopia: Twist of Fates

(which will hopefully be sponsored for a series afterwards)

The film is heavily Sci Fi but this episode is structured to work around the BIG MONEY EFFECTS needed for the series.

The story we are doing takes place in Australia as a clone awakens to find her Dome city destroyed. She has little time to get to her destination, Melbourne Dome, before the poisonous air kills her. There will be many challenges she must face such as cannibals, militias, and the overpowered, genetic modified soldiers known as the MDMP aka Melbourne Dome Military Police.

For more info just ask in a post below.

For a step by step build process of the props for the MDMP soldiers featuring in the film follow the link below. Credit to Dtailed Replicas as he is the Prop Builder for our productions, and I am lucky to have found him! His effort has TRIPLED the value of my film and he hasn't finished everything else as of yet!

Well I suppose I should start by introducing myself; My name is Nick and well I am a Wana-be Prop maker. Frankly my skill is at the moment at a 2 of 10, I have some experience making contact safe weapons but I want to branch out into replica props, and more. Point being I wish to learn how to make high quality props. I wish to learn about molding and well just everything there is to know. So naturally any help anyone can give, or any advice would be very much appreciated.

I unfortunately am on a budget that is roughly around 0$ ^^; and anything I can get in line of materials is well gifted to me by the kindness of my supportive mother. So if any one has any tips on how to do things without Heavy tools again I would appreciate it. my tool box contains well a drimale, screwdriver, and maybe a hammer. So like I said I am new to all this, and am eager to learn.

(Also I want to apologize for any spelling and or grammatical issues in any of my posts. I have something called Dysgraphia, and it makes it impossible for me to spell. I type everything up on Word but that can only take me so far. Spell check after all is not an end all fix.

Hey, all. The name is Zidders (or just Zid), and I've been interested in prop making since the 80's. I've never built my own but I plan to at some point. I just want to say thanks to the folks who both run this site, and post here because you're helping keep dreams alive. I write poems, scribble some, and have been attempting to play guitar since the late 80's. I'm also a furry as well as a brony, and I might be planning on doing some animation/My Little Pony related prop stuff in the future. The first thing I'm thinking of creating is my own version of the jeweled pendant from The Secret Of NIMH because it's my all-time favorite movie.

Hi Guys

I'm Andreas and i'm new here, and i'm really interested into making my own costumes for conventions.
I found this site through learning how to make and modify a spiderman costume, and I saw videos of people recommending this site to get props and costumes made for you. I don't know how to make any props, but I would really want to buy some, and maybe learn how to make costumes and do stuff on photoshop I have never done before.

I've seen a lot of really cool and talented people on this website, and it's cool to see how they make them. I wish I could make props and stuff like other people

Hi, Goosee here in the U.K

Massive Ghostbusters fan first and foremost.

I've made most of the props from the films. Proton pack, trap and goggles.

May be looking into some classic BSG props soon :)

Hi all!

I've recently joined after starting my first sculpt, that being Majora's Mask for a costume I'm working on. Pretty damn proud of it and used a lot of tips I've gained from lurking on this forum (as well as a friend of mine who's damn good at sculpting!!) so thought I'd come out of the shadows. I've been bitten by the bug, so will no doubt be working on something else once this is finished but no idea what...

So here it is, my master mask ready to be made into a sassy mould :)

Hello Everyone,

I found this community when I was researching on how to make my own Spider-man costume. I'm from Singapore, an island state on the Equator.
If you're interested to know more about my country, you're welcome to pm me.

I'm currently hoping to start on my own Spider-man costume. Any help or advice is welcome!

Thanks.
