Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hey all Fabrik here, just signed up! Awesome looking stuff all over the shop here. Can't wait to get involved. I'm studying SFX at the moment with a view to getting into prop/costume/character design in the industry. To be honest most of the stuff on here knocks my work out of the park. I'm currently working on a custom design H.E suit, some halo suit replicas and some other bits and bobs... oh and i'll be needing a new set of Jedi robes for May the 4th. Here's a bit of my previous output all crits welcome (remember i'm a newb) and more posts to follow (touch wood).

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

And me... new to RPF, but I have a real love for doing prop documents and minutiae, especially with a lovecraftian bent. I'll try and get some pictures of things I've worked on, and get them up here.

Best

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hello, my name is Steven. I'm an active 501st member (MidSouth). I try to build stuff to troop with, but usually do not have time due to a full-time job and 4 year old at home. Of course, my favorite things are SW and Muppets. Unfortunately, I don't have pics any of any of the simple things I've made... Hopefully, I can get some pics soon...

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hello everyone, My name is Tom and I am on the staff over at bttf.com. Been busy working on a bunch of interviews with production members, three are up so far. I have been a BTTF collector since 1989, and been collecting original props since 1991. The only replica I own is a WIP DeLorean time machine replica. Been friends with Gary since before he worked on his car, our dealings go back to his first taste of the BTTF world with the ILM photos that are everywhere. Anyway looking forward to another board to have some fun. There are many members here I already know.

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hi all, SSD reporting for duty! Compared with the vast majority of members here I am completely unskilled but I enjoy movies & TV, props and amateur model kit building. The wealth of information here should prove invaluable! Looking forward to it...

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

New member, glad to be on.

I used to work in the the industry a few years ago as a set dresser/prop assistant and have really missed it. I don't miss the freelance lifestyle, but I do miss the creativity and the excitement.

I look forward to getting back into the fun part at least!

Hi everyone!
Glad to be here and get inspired by all those fabulous work that is presented at the forum.

At the moment I have not enough time and the right place to work on all the projects that I want to work at.
But I hope that changes in the future! :cool

I also hope that I can soon upload some pics of the props I have been working on so far.

Cheers

Ah, so here's the Intro thread!!
There's a lot of stuff here, eh!!

Hi all,

I'm Woody from Reading, UK.
Just getting into RPs and collecting 'stuff'.

Favourite interests are Spacehunter, Aliens, Firefly and a few random aspects of many other films and TV. TBH, there's so much out there I have trouble keeping up with everything
I don't even know where to start with all the Manga stuff I see everywhere!!

Just getting sorted on the Aliens front, Pulse Rifle and all.
Look forward to chatting with you all soon.

Rgds,
Woody.

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Howdy Folks!
It seems that in past years I always missed the registration windows but this time friends clued me in and I made it!
I'm a 'lifelong' modeler and actually remember building my first lil plastic kit before I was old enough to read the instructions. So that makes it the better part of fifty years now and I'm still striving to learn and do more. Which brings me here to be exposed and hopefully soak up the vast talent and workmanship on display being shared.
I'll try and do my part by posting the projects that cross my bench and look forward to the interaction.

Thanks for opening the door and letting this duck waddle on in!

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hello, I am Wade aka Rhyen Skytracker on other forums and I have a company named Saber Concepts that makes sci-fi props. I have made over 100 lightsabers in just under 1 1/2 years and I also am working on parts for a tuskin raider mask, a Dr. Who sonic screwdriver and modding some nerf guns into blasters with sounds and LED. I own a metal lathe and a mill and have been machining my own parts for over 7 months. I look forward to learning how to make other props from this forum. YOu can view some of my latest work in the Saber Concepts Work section on this website: http://saberconcepts.50.forumer.com/index.php

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hello everyone! I'm very excited to finally be a part of RPF!! I am a huge Star Trek fan, but I also like Star Wars and other Sci-fi films and shows. I enjoy making things, I haven't made many props yet(1 Voyager PADD done and a phaser rifle kit in the works) hopefully this will motivate me to finish somethings up!!

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hi my name is Keenan. I have been waiting for registration to open back up! Im really happy to be on this thread. I have not been sculpting much lately until about 3months ago when I started a Ponda Baba mask (guy that gets his arm cut off in the first Star Wars). I hope to finish this sculpt and start a few new ones!

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

I'm Matt, from Michigan. I've been lurking off and on for probably a year and a half. I finally matched up one of my on times with a registration period. Really glad to finally be a member.

Re: *** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!

Hi! I'm Tyler, and I'm from Illinois. You know, the state that used to have the governor with the funny hair? I'm sure you've heard of it. Anyway, I've been lurking on the forum for what seems to be a few months now, and I only recently got the opportunity to join. I'm an English major who writes less than he should, plays video games every chance he gets, and dabbles in Magic: The Gathering. I watch a LOT of Mythbusters, and in fact, I found out about this forum through Adam's lecture on his dodo skeleton and his Maltese Falcon replica. I haven't replicated any props yet, but I'm working building a raygun from cardboard.
