anyone Planning to bend the s curve in on there vintage flash yet?
No way in hell am I planning on replicating this hilt by destroying a vintage flash, despite the fact that I think it’s an authentic original.

About the documentary film itself, I thought it was extremely interesting in its own right.
We should get Seth and Roy both in on this. Maybe Roy could do some CAD research using these new images and see how it lines up.
That thin-strip knurled button really makes me doubt that this was a screenused piece, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t production made.
And, not to cast accusations, but there’s still the possibility that it’s a fake. I mean, if Kurtz—THE PRODUCER OF THE MOVIE—could sell fakes (to say nothing of a Christian, who supposedly built the actual screenused props), then that means anyone able to do a little research could, too. Especially if you have a very believable story as to how it came into your possession. Just pull out some old photos, find a rusty Graflex, stick a bubble-strip in, attach a d-ring, and bingo. That doesn’t seem to be the case, here, but you never do know.
When will the tutorial be up?i don’t build any saber anymore without a halliwax tutorial.Gotta grab me a romans blemished gen2![]()
Agree’ed Andy got to play on all shorts of movie sets his whole life
Got to play with zombie bodies lol what a childhood
Just wanted to throw my input in here:
My interview with Roger Christian back is August is where we got the "supposed" information that he used a Robertson screw on the d-ring becasue he and Roger Shaw didn't have a rivet run. That is one of the few things he has stayed consistent on, so this hilt is confusing to say the least.
I've reached out to Roger again to see if he has any information on this particular hilt.
I'd have to disagree with him that Lifeforce was a bad movie. I can think of 2 reasons its great![]()
Trust me, I couldn't agree more. Like I said in my original comment, his word is almost never consistent. I just meant I'd like an explanation to whether or not the rivets could be a serious tell or not.Roger's word on matters isn't highly rated by a few of us here.

I'm inclined to side against his word, yet again.
The problem is we agree with Christian when it lines up with our theories, but reject him when they don't.
Man, the pictures of Andrew as a child playing in the X-Wing and the Landspeeder are just awesome. Fascinating to hear the perspective of someone who grew up in such close proximity to the production of all these awesome films and the totally different view point he has on all that than any of us do.
I would guess that going too hard with a Vice or Vice Grip Pliers would fold the emitter that way.
The socket is still intact, so that steel washer up top was probably a brace for a blade system against a cracked socket. I don't think they bent it to keep it in place. The thing is like tack welded into place so the brass tube probably folded around it. I read above that it's empty though, so not strong enough to fight with but I'll echo the probability of this being an attempt at a motorized stunt
