Need advice attaching Graflex to Speed Graphic camera

From what I can tell the Luke SW flash can only attach to the Speed Graphic by sliding onto a flat glide bar... unless someone knows another way?

My camera doesn't have that bar, it has a bracket that loops over the rangefinder. Is there something that can attach to that bracket, and allow the flash to mount?

Hi there,

Just so you know I'm a photographer that still works with and owns a Speed Graphic and a Crown Graphic Special so perhaps a picture of your camera will give me better idea what graphic camera set up you have ... however I suspect that the flat glide bar is hidden underneath that bracket which loops over the rangefinder and only needs to be unscrewed to reveal that flat glide bar for your graflex flashgun.

If this is the camera, looks like the Luke Skywalker Grafles is not the right one for it. Looks like you need the 2 cell and clamps...

Both area all over ebay, and are cheap.

Thanks for the reply. Here's the rig. There isn't a flat bar under the bracket I have.

Geez. Well if anyone has an extra bracket that could help me out, please let me know. Looks like an impossible find.

You could make this (from the other thread) out of thin aluminum. The graflex braket will expand slightly to go around the edges, then contract, using the lever.
