When the Dr is taking the equivalent of a taxi and they are flying across the city, despite having an open topped vehicle, there is absolutely no wind?

Is that really such a major contrivance that it usurps your ability to suspend disbelief?

I actually liked the theory that TROS Palpatine was the "original, alpha" Palpatine that was perhaps more an ancient creature than man, and the Palpatine(s?) we saw in the PT and OT was a clone puppet controlled by the "alpha Palpatine" from Exegol. Of course that turned out to not be the case...

The Dark Empire comics kinda made him like that. A creature that has died and resurrected multiple times

It just made it very obvious it was green/blue screen or the volume or whatever and looked very fake. Same as bad CGI looks very fake

Yeah I always kinda liked that spin on it. As I recall, he was so powerful with the dark side that it literally corrupted and deformed his body, requiring transferring his essence to fresh clone replacements from time to time. In that light, presumably the Palpatine body we saw in the OT was nearing its expiration date. I vastly preferred that to how LFL handled his canon. The goofy “Force lightning caused him to be deformed” explanation (despite that never being the case in any other instance) was stupid to me.

This has been SW's franchise for a while now:

Trying to revive the body (and to a certain extend, the spirit)... but failing almost every time (Andor is the exception IMO).

It has nothing to do with whether I liked the story or not as much as a pointing out a "goof" or lazy effect. It is like spotting a plane in the background of an ancient battle scene. or seeing the pole sticking out of the bottom of the overturned truck in Raiders of the Lost Ark, or a boom mic dropping down into a shot. Do they ruin the movie, no, do they distract from the scene, yes, simply because I am paying attention to those goofs instead of the scene

It is good to see that he is willing to do more

And to be clear, I don't hate the new season, and it certainly is not nearly as bad as some Star Wars content. It is just for me personally, the things that made the first two seasons so successful and enjoyable for me are severely lacking this season.

I suspect that has more to do with it becoming the Filioni show and aligning more with what I did not like from the Clone Wars/Rebels series

And again, your mileage may vary. I just find my interest waning

Ok. It's heavy, it's hard to use, it's counterintuitive, and (although not addressed in-story) has a terribly non-ergonomic handle design.

SO WHY USE IT?!
Sure, win it and carry it for Big Mandelorian Reasons. But if it's actually a detriment to winning a fight....

Actually I consider myself something of a "nitpicker" but overall I enjoyed this episode! I am surprised at some of the negativity. I agree some of the acting was a little stilted but I didn't think it was egregious.

The opening dogfight sequence was fantastic. I'm assuming the swarm of TIE interceptors and bombers could be Thrawn's? I seem to recall him being fond of the interceptors. Until now, I thought it was odd we hadn't seen any. I thought Mando's comment about interceptors being "tougher" than normal TIEs was odd though maybe he meant in regards to capability?

The crazy thing is I could've sworn Elia Kane was killed in the finale of Season 2. I thought I distinctly remembered her getting shot when the bridge was stormed by Mando and Co. Guess not.

I have noooo clue why Kane betrayed Pershing so curious to learn more about that. My initial thoughts were she is a deep cover Imperial still, perhaps playing the long game to rescue Gideon? Pershing's knowledge seems too valuable to throw away although I could see his willingness to continue his experiments with the New Republic being the confirmation Kane needed to cut him loose.

The New Republic police droids definitely gave me THX-1138 police android vibes.

Bo-Katan joining the sect seems significant. Maybe she is the one that will unite the tribes, especially having seen the mythosaur?

This was an episode that I suspect will be important though we don't yet know exactly why. I liked it though!

Thrawn IIRC was not a big fan of clones. He wanted Pershing unable to work on any more cloning technology.
Bo Katan 'joined' the Clan to get the bodies to take Mandalore again. Remember the tale of the 1st Mandalor she recited from the plaque. He defeated the Mythasur to become Mandalore. Thats why Bo didnt tell anyone. She want to become Mandalor by defeating the Mythasur so the rest of the Mandos will follow her, Dark saber or not.
