Mandalorian Season 3

So the rumors are there is a deleted scene where Gideon walks in on the broken clone tubes

There is a photo floating around of him in a hall way with some blue screen

Been trying to process Season 3, and here are a few of my thoughts…

  • This season was definitely more action - battles, explosions, dogfighting, etc.
  • Having watched Clone Wars and Rebels, I definitely like the call-backs to those shows and look forward to the set up going into Ahsoka
  • There are rumors that Pedro was rarely on set this season, and perhaps it’s a placebo effect, but I think it definitely showed. Din’s character seemed to lack the charisma and swagger of previous seasons… but again, maybe just a mental thing knowing Pedro wasn’t in the suit most of the time… Don’t get me wrong - the stunt doubles are incredibly talented, but I think one of the key aspects of the overall character is the gunslinger persona which didn’t seem to come through as strongly as previous seasons. If I’m not articulating my thoughts well, watch S1E1 and just watch as Din walks around, and then go watch S3 and watch him walking - very different styles which I think took something away from the character…
  • Not entirely sure what Grogu’s role was in this season other than comic relief and perhaps the season finale. But in general, seemed like he was just there and not contributing to the story much. One of the things I really enjoyed about previous seasons was the relationship between Din and Grogu, but that story seemed to have gotten lost with everything else going on this season.
  • I really enjoyed the episode focused on Dr. Pershing. It was totally different than the typical style of the show. But in hindsight, I’m left wondering what it really contributed to the overall season. Seems like a wasted opportunity.
  • In summary, it was a good “popcorn” season of action sequences and battles, but I feel like the soul of the show, that made the previous seasons successful, was missing… If I were to rank the seasons in order of goodness, I would say Season 3 was definitely their weakest…

Didn’t Brendan Wayne invent the gunslinger Mando swagger with input from Favreu in season one? Pedro had to learn it from him I thought.

I do agree this season has gotten away from that feel, that swagger. The cobbled together gunslinger Mando kit is my favorite.

It depends on how you look at it. As far as I'm concerned Pascal is a glorified voice actor and the Mando we've always seen most of the time is Wayne. And I consider Crowder the Action Mando, not a Stunt double.

Mando gets beaten up , captured , wounded ect but Bo is an unstoppable fighting machine ! Yeah definitely 2023 not far far away !

To be fair Bo Katan has a LOT more years of experience and Mando women fight as well as the guys. That's not new, it's been in EU for 30 years. I'll be right there and call out "woke" BS, but that's not one of them.

Pull out the Darth Vader under suit from the Kenobi series. We have a Mando-Gideon outfit to put together.
Agree… I am a huge fan of horn helmets.. but I’m afraid now that the horns don’t signify relation to maul anymore.. and it’s just a fashion statement

I finally decided what I want.

No more Mandalorian. Let the fade to black on Grogu while Mando chills on the porch be the finality.

What I need now is a new series where the MOST AWESOME JEDI EVER- Kelleran Beck, having just saved Grogu from the temple, boards a Naboo Starfighter and sets off across the galaxy, keeping Baby Muppet out of danger from the relentless troopers trying to Order 66 them.

We give Amed Best the character he deserves, we still cash in on the little green cow, and I get a series that can finally be free of The Clone Wars.

Please…give me this!
