What accident did Rey have to get those "enhancements"?
I think she used The Force.... :D I think a Sith can use Force Camouflage to hide their true appearance or something like that. ;)

Or it could be an artist conceptual mockup....

Or an old fashioned body double from Quebec Province, Ontario named Bianca with some CGI used to swap bodies.....

Or was it Force Swap?

I get a strong feeling in The Force that if they used that version of Rey, they'd make at least another Billion.... o_O

I rewatched ROTJ last night. I think the last time I saw it was 2017 at my housewarming SW marathon...MY GOD, this movie is sloppy as hell. Granted, I've seen it a thousand times so I can see more things and I'm more clued up on the technicalities of filmmaking, but wow. Shots are out of focus, the camera barely moves other than a panning or a tracking shot, flat lighting, some props and effects are so cheap looking or effects are missing, characters are walking in and out of the range of stage lights, tons of extras doing absolutely nothing and having no direction...I need to look up now what else Richard Marquand directed, really curious if anything he did had any visual creativity or if Lucas just took over and went with the most economical filmmaking ever. I watched Empire a few months ago and was amazed how gorgeous that movie looks.

It's that time again...

My god, why would you subject yourself to watching a movie so many times when you clearly despise it?

I don't despise it. I still like it despite having issues with it. I don't know why this simpleton logic is so popular that if you criticize something you must be hating it with frothing mouth...
I'm sorry. I stand corrected. I think I was going by the apparent tone of your post. There is literally nothing in your post to indicate you like a single thing about the movie and some people clearly like some movies and hate others (many the entire new trilogy, me among them until the last movie partially redeemed at least some of the issues. Obviously, I had no issue with Daisy Ridley as I think she's hot and the bad decisions aren't her fault). But given the well known disgust out there for ROTJ (usually Ewoks, the reused death star plot or the disappointing Anakin reveal) major complaints about more trivial/subjective things like a lack of camera panning, well, it was hard for me to imagine anything positive left.

OTOH, I ran into someone claiming I hate BTTF just because I thought the Atmos remix of the soundtrack was disappointing in the new 4K set....(Yeah that's why I have a poster of it in my home theater with the license plate and model Delorean on display).

Then again, it's hard to expect anything like a civil conversation with someone when they use inflammatory words like simpleton to describe my reaction.

That's fair, no worries.

I love the score, the newly introduced characters (Jabba and co, Emperor, some rebel characters), the visuals that are not sloppy (some of the sets are great, the dogfight of course, Jabba's palace looks pretty good, Rancor puppet, etc) and I think it benefits greatly from the previous two movies and it still emotionally resonates through the arcs of the characters. But it's defo the weakest of the three and I never realized that on a basic filmmaking level it falls short so often. Again the average viewer probably doesn't realize these. Smells a lot like the lazy and uncreative visual approach that Lucas adopted for the prequels.

Pfff...this is what I mean, everything is like a presumed black and white political debate. Haven't seen the 4k version, I'll be on the lookout for the sound mix when I do get the chance. BTTF is probably the only movie I've seen more than any SW.

The logic is simpleton, not you. Apologies if I offended you.

I do hope Daisy Ridley gets more acting gigs. She did train hard for Rey and I think she would make a great Lara Croft or action heroine. I would like to see her in a well-written role and see what she can do with it.

She also seems like a cool person and down to earth, not being like “I’m the best Jedi ever the fans suck.” I would much rather see more actresses like her in films and hope she gets in an interesting project.

Was a chicken involved? :D

I'd like to see her and Emma Watson make a movie together (preferably something with a make-out scene between them ;) ), but I'd settle for a Wedding Crashers style movie (oddly Rachel McAdams from that does have a movie with a female-female sex scene in Disobedience with Rachel Weisz from Constantine). Emma Watson and Karen Gillan looked great together in The Circle (I didn't realize how tall Karen was until I saw that movie), but the movie (with Tom Hanks about a Google-like CEO trying to spy on everyone and get leftist type conformity around the world) was too slow paced and I was in danger of falling asleep at times. Karen's more fun to watch in the Jumanji sequels or Doctor Who. Daisy looked great in the remake of Murder On The Orient Express, but the original version was a far better film, despite the great 4K scenery in the new one.

I really wanted her to take the Lara Croft role
Instead of Alicia Vikander, but seeing as that movie flopped maybe it was for the better.

it’s not a necessary adaptation, but I could also see Daisy as Amanda Ripley in an Alien Isolation movie.

my wife and I watched TROS last night and it’s really a shame seeing these actors swamped with this mediocre movie but still trying their best. As long as she doesn’t get beaten down by the fan machine I can see her having continued success.

She does look a lot like Amanda. Who was ironically based on the likeness of Sigourney Weaver's mother.

She needs to pick a good script. Emilia Clarke has been really unlucky in her choices after GOT for example. Granted I don't think she's a particularly good actress but somehow most of the big movies she was in flopped and not necessarily because of her.
Then again not everyone needs to be in triple A massive blockbusters. I care not for the Marvel movies but it's good to see that ScarJo is still able to pick small movies like Marriage Story or Under the Skin and actually act.

I've only seen Daisey in 7, 8 and Orient Express. I think she fits Rey well, despite the terrible writing, and strikes me as a very sweet person in her real life, though I wasn't all that impressed with her in Orient Express. Not that she was bad, she was fine. Just not mind blowing.

Yeah not every actor/actress needs to be in a big budget movie and the more indies are arguably more unique. ScarJo definitely does Marvel for the paychecks but may enjoy the roles in Marriage Story more.

It does seem hard to judge if a script is going to be good or not. Will Smith was presented with 2 scripts, one based on a popular western tv show and one weird body changing sci-fi. Who would have guessed that the weird sci-fi was the good movie. Or you can go the Nic Cage route and say yes to everything. Honestly the fact that he can still get work and remain in demand is quite impressive.
