Today I decided I’m not going to see this in the theater...

I’m tired of it all :(
I've decided I won't watch it period. I was willing to give them a chance until I saw what happened to "Luke".
Right there with ya buddy. I came to the same conclusion about 2 months ago. :(
What has been done to this entire franchise is unforgivable.
I had decided not to see it a while ago but now that I've gotten to the "acceptance stage" I'm down for the Trainwreck, I won't be paying to watch it but I definitely will at some point out of morbid curiosity. ;)
Yeah I honestly can’t believe I feel this way.. I’ve been a huge knights of ren fan since they debuted in ep7... now

I just don’t even care

I wish there was some way you could see it the way I do. Because I'm freaking excited! I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

Morbid curiosity, here, plus needing to know how they wrap it up and what's left for ancillary fiction to fill in, so I can start honing in this period better in my Big Huge Rewrite of Doom™. Mild interest in seeing how the advertised characters and ships end up getting used.

Naaah I totally get it. I wish you were here for tfa, I was so hyped for that. Still enjoy that movie, but lost interest because of the hurt from TLJ.

TLJ devalued TFA to me.. call me weird it’s just how I feel..

And it’s not only TLJ that I have problems with.. I just don’t like where Star Wars has gone... hoping mando and clone wars will bring me back.. but I haven’t been excited for Star Wars since rebels

And honestly even the last 2 seasons of rebels I was starting to say..”this is the last epsiode I’m watching.. this has become terrible”

In reality the opening episode and finale of the seasons are the best of each season..

I don’t know what’s wrong with me

Can’t say it’s depression because I still enjoy other things and hobbies of mine

I’m just pissed where it’s gone..

Really really liked the whole “medieval” feel of TFA.. idk I’m not ranting anymore

Joker.. physiological experiment here..

All seriousness.. can you tell me a movie you really don’t like?

This isn’t a joke, or me trolling ya. I’m just curious if you can tell me a movie you don’t like, and see if I feel the same about that

Batman v Superman. Though when I first watched it, I thought it was okay. But only because I had set my expectations incredibly low. Yeah I think that's my number 1 disliked film. Or at least that's the first one that comes to mind.

Totally agree. Do you have another one?

Uuuhhh, no, you're not weird. You're exactly right! I haven't even watched TFA since watching TLJ in theaters!
TLJ completely devalued everything that came before it. ESB fleshed out the characters we were introduced to in ANH, & (even more) it got us to CARE about what was happening to them. TFA (like ANH) was an introduction, a stepping off point for something greater, something greater that would've elevated TFA along with it (like ESB did for ANH). TLJ (unlike ESB) threw all of that away. I don't even care what happens to the characters anymore. Kill all of them, for all I care. They literally mean nothing to me!
It's cool that you liked TLJ, Joker. It really is. I wish I could, along with you, be excited for the new movie. But I can't. I'm just not able to see this new trilogy the way you do.
I do, however, completely agree with you on Batman vs Superman. I mean, WTF was that?!? I'll admit though, that strike one for me, right out of the gate, on that one.... was Ben Affleck. I am not a fan. They might as well put him in the new Star Wars movie.

See, for me, TLJ did just that. Did it do it as well as ESB? Nope, nothing beats ESB.

Lol agreed

Give me 1 more please

Any X-men film up to Days of Future Past. (Thought First Class isn't too bad) I haven't seen a single one since. I would like to watch Logan though.

I can't seem to stand anything Zack Snyder has done. Watchmen, 300, Man of Steel(used to love MoS)

Any historical based film that butchers history..... the worst offender for me is Braveheart. Also Robin Hood(2010)

All in all, though, the number of films I dislike is quite small. I always seem to find some silver lining, even in films that aren't that doesn't float my boat.

You don’t like watchmen!! You MONSTER!! ;)

Naaah I agree with ya on mostly all you’ve said, except I love watchmen

I was just curious your taste in films.

Is it sad that my star wars props are all OT aside from one piece? Even that piece is pre Disney era.
The OT props are infinitely more realistic looking to me than anything in the PT and the majority of the ST. They just have that real world look to them without overtly being sci-fi space guns and sabers. There’s an inherent beauty and believably to keeping that mechanical look that the found parts they used have

Nah. It's not sad. The vast majority of my Star Wars props are OT. I've got a few PT props, & 2 or 3 pieces from RO. The only piece I have from the ST is Master Eddies Melted Vader sculpt. I haven't bought a single "licensed" prop (that I can think of) since Disney took over. All the pieces I've picked up, since the Mouse bought the franchise, are things I've hunted parts for & built myself, or are from the talented artists here on the RPF or RS.
