Reminds me how Hayden had to stick his feet out of the cockpit of the Eta-2

At least that cockpit has a floor...

So I just realized something last night. Maybe I'm just slow. But I don't think Obi-Wan considers himself a Jedi anymore. I realized that when he's talking to Luke he says. "I was once a Jedi Knight. The same as your father." He speaks in the past tense. I know the order has pretty much been destroyed. But Obi-Wan would technically still be a Jedi Knight, right?

Not that I take much from the PT, but he was technically a Jedi Master by ROTS. Though I like the idea that he just considers himself a civilian since the order was destroyed.

I think he meant since the Jedi council was gone and government turned into empire, the Jedi weren’t needed anymore

Kinda like people working for toys r us

“I once was a employee of toysrus..., before the dark times... before the amazon”

I always thought of it as he was still a Jedi but no longer at knight. For example if someone sad "I was once a Christian minister". He's still a Christian, just no longer a minister.

I think it's just the phrasing. I'm sure he still considered himself a Jedi, but he's telling the audience that the group is gone as an organization.

Possibly. But that doesn't make much sense. As Obi-Wan has some expositional dialogue that gives Luke and the audience all that info. A tad bit redundant wouldn't it be? I don't know, maybe I'm over thinking this. Just found it odd he's speaking in the past tense about being a Jedi Knight.

Je couldn't remember Artoo. Maybe he had dementia. [emoji6]

Haha:lol:

But actually if you recall, he says that doesn't remember ever owning a droid. Which is the truth, Obi-Wan never owned a droid. Really it's one of the few things he says that is the truth. And not from a certain point of view.....

I think his point was more that the Order was gone. If you have a rank in the Jedi Order, your rank disappears when that order ceases to exist. Same as real life really.

True. I suppose it all depends on Obi-Wan means Jedi Knight, as in Padawan, Knight, Master. Or if he means Jedi Knight, as in Jedi. If you remember that Yoda said that Luke would be the last Jedi once he had died. So I would think that Obi-Wan could still be a Jedi without the existence of the whole order.

In the end ANH was supposed to be a single story in and of itself, so we risk over analysing and giving far too much gravitas to throwaway lines that they never thought in '77, would get the chance to be delved into like it was.

Dude! That mural is awesome!
& to be able to learn from Drew Struzan, the master himself... talk about blessed.
Drew Struzan is my all time favorite artist. I came so close to meeting him once, however horrible traffic & then scheduling screwed me.
Jason Palmer was clearly a good student, & learned well. (y)

Does anyone know more about the “TIE droid”’or Zuckuss droid on Bespin? Are there any other reference pictures of them?

That helmet reminds me of a Cobra Viper from G.I. Joe. One of my favorite figures as a kid.
