Volume 2 and 3 of the new Legends Epic Collection can be found on Amazon. They have Nomi's story and Ulic Qel-Droma and Exar Kun. The Knights of the Old Republic games serve as sequels to those comics.I obviously have some binge reading to do.
Yo! Disney!
How about a story on Palpatiene? You know, that tiny detail where he goes from incinerated in a planet-sized reactor core to chief bad ass with a new army in 20 years?
Ridley Scott...Put Tommy Wiseau or Neil Breen in charge of the project and I'm on board.
And his "family" and "followers" and even possibly his "cloning team". His ship building operation and Coruscant planet of engineers and workers. His massive trade in parts and raw materials for his fleet of starships and how it stayed hidden..... The assassin, owner of the famed killing map blade and why anyone would expect that somehow and for whatever reason, he would know where the cube was and map it on his knife ..... And for anyone tempted to say it was already covered, we are far too aquainted with "from a certain point of view" to believe what we are told the first round.... "your parents were nobody's just common people".Yo! Disney!

I've had enough of backstories. Some ideas are just more powerful and interesting as lore.
YES!! This scene works only as a flashback because It would be so awkward to see it continue as a full scene. Elrond doing the "THIS IS SPARTA" and kicking out but then he disappears and limbos under the kick, matrix style and runs out the door giggling like the monkey king in Forbidden Kingdom.THIS. Flashbacks can be more effective, even. I'm reminded of the very quick Isildur backstory we got in The Fellowship of the Ring when Elrond talks about the weakness of Men:
So perfectly concise, yet still epic. We don't always need a movie or series...sometimes a scene or two is enough to help us put pieces together without completely overturning our own visions of those unseen histories.
I paid much more back in the day. But some of these are first editions at least.View attachment 1821906
Just got this for $1 from my local library.
The one is the suit with Kenny Baker in it? And the other must be the R/C version?"orthodox".. Love it!
In celebration:
As I'm sure we all know here, although most of the exterior Tatooine scenes were shot in Tunisia, they picked up a bunch of shots a year later in Death Valley.
When Threepio and Artoo are arguing about which direction to go, closeups of Artoo switch back and forth between Tunisia (smooth sand) and Death Valley (rippled sand). They are also different R2 props.
