That's awesome, Michael. Your post reminds me of a time when simple things like these along with plastic lightsabers were all it took to make me happy. Nowadays, unless it's a super accurate replica, I can't seem to find the enthusiasm I once did...and I hate that. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that time.
I know what you mean. I want things to be either close, or perfectly accurate. Like my MPC shuttle with the terrible cockpit pointing WAY to down is bad and all, but overall its still close. Probably the "worst" close I'd take.
I loved legos as a kid, and if someone gave me a Star Wars lego set, sure, I'd built it, but legos are just not near close enough to accurate for me....and their WAY to expensive anyways. (so I doubt anyone would be giving me a set).

Is anyone else tired of seeing posts about that new Jedi Survivor game, or is it just me?
It and its predecessor have always looked like a prequel-ized, EA, buggy, poorly-optimized version of The Force Unleashed to me. I honestly don’t get how Disney as the copyright holders have fumbled the video game market for Star Wars so badly. You’d think they would have cranked out some kind of Mandalorian RPG or something like that as soon as the first season took off, but no. So, yes. I’m tired of seeing “not-Joker from the CW’s Gotham” wield his stupidly large lightsabers being marketed everywhere.

Even though i've been done with video games since KOTOR...you had me at RPG...speaking of KOTOR, like all their other "projects" that get overhyped that never see fruition, when is the remake gonna happen? lol. Honestly, if it was unaltered at all except the graphics it would be pleasing, but if they retconned it i'm glad it won't see the light of day.

Hey!!! I actually just found the real Jedi Survivor!!! He's been in there the whole time

I see that saber hilt everywhere too and it's hideous.
When holding a sword, or in this case a lightsaber, you want as close a grip as you can get to the base of the blade or more specifically the "balance point". Those shrouds on his saber are way too long for him to wield the saber effectively especially when he makes it into a staff. Way back when, I had an idea to draw up a similar design where the blade is hugged by dual shrouds. I thought it would look cool but I quickly realized how impractical it would be.

You mean "Excalisaber" lol? How it's presented makes no sense because of the exposed emitters of the quillons. The only way that design works is if let's say you had a "T" shaped hilt. The top of the "T" would be one wide emitter with the center of it being a standard length blade and then a 'ridge' of plasma would make up the remainder on either side. Of course, lightsabers lock up on contact so I don't even think you'd have to worry about a blade sliding down and cutting you.

Don't forget about cortosis! Which then raises the question...why not just have a crossguard made of cortosis? At least then you wouldn't risk injuring yourself.
Oh...don't worry...it's going to all be explained in the new Rey SkyRobber movie when Force Ghost BenLo teaches her to go to the retconned planet of Dumbledore to obtain Beskar like he did to make his crossguard...believe me, they'll double down on anything to make it legit.

I’ll be waiting in line for tickets

I remember the days we actually had to wait in line for tickets...Goodness!! When Episode 1 c ame out...Holy Moly!!! When i got there, there was so many people dressed up and i thought George Lucas himself showed up to our movie theater. Now?...order tickets online and choose your exact seat...lol. Sort of takes all the fun out of it.

I can picture Halliwax when they tell you to shut off all your mobile decices, the movies about to start. "Ok, boys...let's light em up!" "Whoever gets the best screenshot pic gets 1st in line on a new commision" lol
