And why I'm glad we didn't get the Sequel Trilogy George had drafted out. His deep delve into the nature of the Force is that, but cringe. Midi-chlorians are sort of like mitochindria crossed with chloroplasts in plants. They are conduits for the Cosmic Force, bridging that with our cells to make out Personal Force. The Whills are like amœbæ, but sentient. There are fewer of them than midi-chlorians. They enter the cells from outside and tell the midi-chlorians what to do. They were responsible for doing some hoodoo with Shmi to make her ova create Anakin -- which makes me wonder why Anakin? If it was parthenogenesis, the child would be female, possessing only X chromosomes. When one dies, their Personal Force discorporates and they re-merge with the Cosmic Force. But beings with high midi-chlorian counts can learn to retain enough of their personæ to hold their Personal Force together "on the other side". And since there are so many midi-chlorians in cells, and proportionately fewer Whills, people are, like, 85% midi-chlorians, 10% Whills, and 5% their own Human cells.

So my wife and I are going through the 9 saga films. And I'm watching this scene.

There are only six saga films :p
 
While some of these shows sound interesting (or have the potential to be) I'm not exactly excited. There's plenty of Star Wars content in existence already and a vast majority of it is total crap. Having more of something doesn't automatically indicate quality.

How is it a snub to not mention upcoming films in the tv series announcement?

This was an investor event. They wouldn't keep a new trilogy out.

Possibly, though i'm not convinced it was a snub in any way.

My thought is that the investor event was about the Disney+ plans, where the SW series will take precedence, with the "main" SW films still currently slated for cinematic release before streaming.

I could well be completely wrong, but it just strikes me as jumping to conclusions to say it was a deliberate snub.
 
I didn't see anything about the High Republic trilogy in that, but I might've missed it. I only saw new projects and new information about previously-announced projects.

I saw this pop up yesterday and found it interesting.

While the deepfake looks much more natural and like Peter Cushing you do get the sense that he isn't really there (as in it's just an image of his face imposed over the top of what's there - he's not inhabiting the same space as the original model).

While the original animation was good, there's something about the eyes that just don't quite look right.

Ultimately, I think it is better that what they could do 4 years ago, but it's still going to be some time before these things can be totally seamless.
 
Did anyone else notice that when Kennedy was announcing the Star Wars projects that dealt with the "old era", she looked like she wasn't pleased at all to announce them, but when it came to the projects she was directly involved in, she had a bit of a smile on her face?
 
If the rumors are to be believed she and George had a major falling out and any reminder of his legacy characters would be a sore subject for her. If true, I suspect this is the reason why Spielberg stepped away from Indy 5 as a director so as to not have to choose sides between George and Kathleen (and Frank Marshall) by extension.
