Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's**New Maps at start of thread**

Also, an addendum to last night's post. If someone with a 1/15 Hummel could confirm (or disprove!) the one on the left, it would be appreciated! I feel like I've seen the piece below the Hummel on the far right, too. Large aircraft maybe? Or maybe I'm pipe dreaming! :confused

Thank u all for the kind word!!! :love
I'm glad u like the pic's.
If u need pics from other
studio scale models from
the exhibition
just let me know.

Thanks for the cover on the 1/24 Panther, though Stu has just reminded me about the 1/24 M60 which falls into the same category! :cryany chance I can buy a job lot off you??

I have the M60 so job lots are in the offing. Do you need CB750 Racing too? I'd like to cast everything, pretty much, it'll only save me money in the long run what with other projects needing the same parts.

Does anyone have a thought as to what these might be? I've been looking at battleships but don't have many of the larger scale kits yet. It was also probably a kit used early on since the dish came from the Blockade Runner.

Good point. Nichimo U-boat?

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Anyone know the disc thinghy with the rivets that sits on the Bandai panther part?

I know Simon has moved on from the Falcon (and I hope he doesn't mind I borrowed his pic), but for everyone else that whole piece is from Bandai 1/48 Jagd-Tiger.

Hi Martyn,

Well, if you're offering I guess it would make sense. Add the CB750 the list please.

Thanks very much :)

Nick

I think you're right! I did some measurements in Photoshop and looks good. Thanks!

Cool beans! I'd hoped it was that. I have one but can't find the sucker right now. :lol

It surely is. Mine arrived last week and that was a nice little 'aaaaah'. :)

It will be m'pleasure. Some Panther stuff is on loan to Simon ATM, so I'll get those bits back and pour some more rubber.

The largeish, as-yet-unidentified enginey-gearboxy parts on the outer mandible sides are exercising me. Does anyone have any thoughts on those?

Congratulations on your purchases. Being totally kit bonkers is great isn't it? :love

On a more minor note I've finally scored a Bandai 1/48 8ton which has been eluding me for ages. Just need to find a Nichimo 1/35 elefant next! As far as the 1/24 Panther, I can't see I'll ever be able to afford that. Too many weighter wallets out there I fear.

However, I'll gladly pay one of you fine fellows for a set of casts if anyone with one is game to do them, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would need them? -with Jason and Mike's Sealab project, getting the big Panther nailed should mean I can scrape togther the rest of the kits I need.

Nick

:cool

Everyone great work on this mother.
(y)thumbsup(y)thumbsup:thumbsup

Hey Jason,

Thanks, wasn't sure if that was still a goer. If you don't mind doing the Panther, then great. Just let me know costs when you can.

Martyn; looks like I'll need to get the M60 and CB750 from you.

Really appreciate the help guys.

Cheers
Nick

Which would those be? There are at least four or five 312B parts not marked on MF024, a few more on MF026. I have that kit in the mail as we speak.:love

I'm waiting on Simon to finish with his - I think we have a sale deal there, but it's obviously a kit I majorly need. The wait is killing me, lol.

Alright already....... Should start molding everything for the Turbo Laser next week, weather permitting. Then everyone can get their kits. Need to send a box to Chile too.

Since I'm starting to look at the mandibles I stitched these photos together. These are half resolution jpegs but I think they'll be useful to you guys.

Cheers Simon! :D

Craig, I found my U-boot. It sure looks like the right parts. Same ones as used on the X-wing. I'll scan 'em tomorrow.

Great comps! Thank you!

Thanks. lol Will you do me a favor and stay away from McLarens for a bit? :behave

I couldn't help myself sorry, got 2 more of the M23 G-sprue, from that ebay seller. This sprue hadn't been available for quite some time, so I grabbed a couple. Only needed a few parts from these, but I'd rather have the original plastic as much as possible.

Panther arrived yesterday, 4 days from Japan, a postage record I reckon:lol. Usually when a kit arrives, I delve into it with the sprue cutters, cutting off all the relevant parts & placing into clear plastic bags, corresponding to their position on the Falcon. I might just leave this kit intact for a while, it's just so blooming fantastic. It's a mint one too, all parts still sealed in bags, even the 3 tubes of glue. I still think Bandai made some of the best kits ever & still hold up today!.

Hi guys:)

Here is a correction for the MF003 Map. The part circled in red does not belong to a ford engine F1 1/12 but to the good old Centurion, you need to cut it as shown in the picture.

Nwerke:
What Nichimo U Boat? Ive got the ones needed for the X-Wing and I never saw a Falcon part in them... cool!! What part are you talking about?:love

Haha Stu, that's cool. I picked up an M23 and the 312B this week.

Rod, it's the Nichimo 1/200 Type IX B or C. Check my last image of the radar dish.

Ha Ha, another case of doubling up here, I'd found this Centurion part in post #925:lol.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the updates and correction. I'll get on these as soon as I can. The Nichimo sub is a new one on me. Nice one. Had often wondered where those parts were from.
