A big thanks!!

This may sound dumb... but aside from $ savings, why would we want to keep our original? Isn't your version more accurate to the MR/studio model, and the set?

I am happy with the base paint job on the Deago so I did not want to get another cone and then have to paint it to match. Since I knew Tony could do what he did I could also save some money.

All these upgrades are adding up.

Another upgrade!

As some of you asked me, I've created a new cabin cone without consoles, with a clean interior, but with all the greebles behind the window frames.

The cone is a quasi perfect replica of the 32" Falcon, with all the little external and internal details.

It works perfectly with all my upgrades, but I haven't tested it with the standard De Agostini parts. Maybe it will fit but you will need to mod a little bit the standard De Agostini parts.

Hi Jim!

Yes, the FM 1/72 is a little bit smaller than the MPC/AMT one. Not sure about the scale, but the MPC is bigger.

Thanks!

Just released another pack of separated cockpit parts, as requested for you.

In this case is the cockpit kit composed by separate parts, without floor or cabin cone.

It includes the main console, the two side consoles -on the image, in yellow-, the two pilot seats, the two nav sets and the overhead controls console -on the image, in blue-.

Just in case you want to keep your De Agostini cabin cone and use my cockpit upgrades.

Many thanks for watching!

Um Tonyyyy... It would be really nice and sweet of you if you included the greeblies that you put on the inside of the cockpit struts! Maybe even just them by themselves. :)

Hey Jim!!!

Too thin, really!!! Maybe I can't print them individually. Let me check it!!!

Thanks!

Hey Tony,

You may want to clarify your comment about needing two of these sets if you want to cover the floor.

http://www.shapeways.com/product/FM...ago-set-hall-grille?optionId=55991804&li=cart

I assume you mean if you are not buying the Floor pits???? I was very confused until I looked at the Deago and the real set pics. You only need a double set if you are skipping the access pits, yes?????

I don't know why anyone would do that. If your gonna redo the floor get the access pits. Even if your not putting in actual pits it's more accurate and not much more money.

You're right Tom!

I've updated the description adding the links of the products you need to cover the floor, but I haven't deleted the part "you need 2". Well, you need 2 only if you want to cover also the "half tiles" of the surroundings.

So, if you want to cover the floor you will need these parts (one of each product):

-Millennium DeAgo set hall grille (x 1)

-Millennium DeAgo hall grille with pits access (x 1)

-Millennium DeAgo set hall pits grille (x 1)

Sorry for the confusion Tom!

Cheers

No worries. Thanks for clarifying.

Once I take care of a few things I am going to be putting in an order for your Legacy bits and most of your Deago parts.

Then later the new Hasbro.

Tom

Hello Tom,

actually the DeAgo Falcon build starts in my country. I read some Threads and found your Shapeways Shop with all these great updates ( I will need in the future).
But I am missing some things. Is it because the 'original' DeAgo parts haven´t delivered in the US, yet? Or are you working on these parts?

I am talking about
* the complete Quad Laser Turret well (talking about the internals not the gun itself)
* the 6 real vents grilles
* radar mount for the dish
* engine vents turbines
* ...

That front wall end does need to sit back behind the wall DeAgo gives us. Battery pack is in that area, hopefully there's room, looks like UK is getting that part this week. Thinking about skipping the hold and sealing mine up now. The gap around the removable panel on the cockpit tube is horrible, going to glue that down and fill in that gap. Expecting to need to do the same on the main hold panel, but we'll see. I haven't starting building mine yet, maybe once I'm up to 48 I'll build up the bottom, was waiting on the hold to see how it fits inside. Probably scratch out the hallway behind the cockpit with the extra hall parts if I fore go the interior and leave the door open, and do up the turret wells nicely not having to worry about the hold in the way.

The parts on that list we don't have yet, besides the turret wells. Don't know if the dish mount is bad that we need a replacement. The 32" model didn't have the fans covered with Koolshade, just scribed disks for the vents. Would be nice to have something there, don't know how much room there will be for the fans, maybe cut away the plastic hull plate and replace with a textured piece, so you could look down and see a fan down there. The grating I'm sure Paragrafix will have a PE set for. For something this size I'd like to see a multi-layer set for more depth, sort of like this set for the little Bandai kit....

http://www.greenstrawberry.cz/millennium-falcon---grills.php

One other option, not with the fans showing, but if you want more detail than the supplied vent disc once we see them, the Bandai TIE Fighter kit has really nice molded Koolshade pattern on it's panels, and is the correct size to give the same number of sections across as the 32" vent had. Just take a circle cutter and cut to the size needed for new vents.

One thing that would be nice to see is some thrust vector plates, the bulldozer blade pieces along the edge of the back. Not much detail on the inner engine panels and would be nice to build it up like the Fine Molds kit with the blades continuing around to the other side, probably cut out the matching plates out of sheet styrene for the inside too. Need 26 though and that's a lot of scratch building, or learning to cast....
