Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's**New Maps at start of thread**

^^ No problem, but I, uh, have a correction.

I checked my stash last night and I have the 1/25 Jagdpanther. That kit has the part, so I'm not 100% certain that another 1/25 panther does. It probably does.

Rather than add it to your gotta-have list, why not ask any Galactica builder out there for a FG plate - I'm sure they'll be able to rastle one up for you.

Unless you're a purist like me . . . . and HAVE to make one for yourself.:lol

After a quick look on ebay seems Tamiya have re-issued their 1/25 Jagdpanther. I presume this will provide the part we need...if not a couple more?

Trying to cross reference the Matilda plate and King Tiger plate. It's safe to change part 5 in MF015 to Tiger II (Henschel turret) because that hatch only appears in that kit.

Great~

I'm wondering if anybody IDed the base plate kit under the Panzer III in the 2nd pic?
I'm interested in the part because it was also used for Devastator.

thanks Eric.

Yes, you are right. I put the piece side by side with the Tiger II. Although the 1/35 definitely has the correct shape it is too small.

Toldja! :)

Wow, another cast plate with the Mustang missile part. I hadn't even noticed that it was a cast piece. Sorry, no idea!

I don't know that one yet, sorry.

Regarding the two helmets that were added to the 8rad/Kettenkrad plate in the rear pit. I don't think they're helmets at all but rather headlights from the Hanomag. Also found these from the Sheridan.

^^ Craig, 3rd pic above . . . IIRC ?c is from the 1/25 Centurion and 6 is actually from the 1/35 M60A1. I should check the M60A1 to be sure. Nice finds from the Sheridan.

Well, that eases the wallet a bit. Good stuff. :)
You know, I was just looking through the Centurion too. You'll also need these for the Matilda plate:

Hey guys, Iv'e decided to pull out as well from doing the big Falcon.
I can't see me starting it in earnest for the foreseeable future & current circumstances just won't permit it.
I feel I will be more than happy with the 32" Falcon I'm working on now, with a mix of accurate donors & my own detail parts.

Therefore, the kits I have gathered are open to you guys if interested in purchasing them. Most of them have the parts needed for the Falcon removed, but I can put all these back, no problem.
I can do a list, but the first kit I will offer is the 1/24th Bandai Panther G.
I will offer this a bit less than I paid for it, but it is complete.
I'll put a thread in the Junkyard now.

I will still contribute to this thread as it's just too awesome to let go fully.
Stu

I hear you mate, tis a hard decision, but there you go.:cry
Full concentration on the big X-Wing & my sidetracked project, the 32" is gonna take my time.

These 'big' projects really need your full-time commitment to them & current/future circumstances need to be assessed. I can't see me in this category for quite a while.

I'll PM you later mate.
Stu

Hey Stu,

Sorry to hear that. Hope you will keep looking in on us. You've made some great contributions to the thread, and we need all the help we can get! - I'd be interested to buy some of your kits off you depending what you have. Will look out for your list.

I do understand where you are coming from. If I stop and think about how damn huge a big Falcon will be I kinda blink a few times and have to sit down. Plus, you need alot of time to devote to the cause and that is the commodity I'm most lacking these days too. Along with money!

You are probably making a good call, and I shall look forward to seeing your big X-wing and another 32" Falcon sometime. Good luck! :)

Nick

Hey chaps,

Iv'e decided in the end to hold on to all my Falcon related kits with the idea that I will build the Falcon in earnest at a later date.
Deep down it really is THE SS model I would wish to build & own.

I think I'm in too deep with this thing to just walk away from it.
Would be just too heartbreaking to see all the kits go, not to mention the bucks spent thus far.

So chaps, I'm still here & still a Falcon nut thru & thru:)
Stu

Hurrah. Nice one Stu. You know it makes sense....

Incidentally the few seconds its taken in writing this note is about as much time as I currently have to dedicate to this thread, which is VERY annoying:cry

Oh WHEW. I would have picked up three or four (dozen) kits from you, but I'm MUCH happier that you're not out of the game. :)

Right there with you on time, Nick; I tried to get to the post office today but no dice. Think I have about a dozen kits to pick up!

Thanks guys, my decision feels right & I'm back for the long haul, not that I really went anywhere:facepalm.

When you really sit down & take a stock of the kits accumalated, it's frightning the dollar value. But, theyr'e there & theyr'e staying in my Falcon vault awaiting more.

Hail the big Falcon, may you one day grace my den:lol
