Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Hey SWGeek, these are great pics! - really sharp and I can see a few new parts already. Can't have been easy taking these with lots of people milling around you. Thanks very much for sharing :)

Julien, thanks for the new part ID's. Yes I agree that tank deck is going to be 1/48. Will see what I can find. Looks like there's another Tamiya 1/12 F1 to get!

Cheers

WOW Gort!:eek What a fine job you've done with the updates, just great!
swgeek, a big thanks for sahring those wonderful images!

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Welcome everybody. I'm just glad to be able to contribute something to this thread. :)

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Well you certainly have!

Courtesy of SWgeek's pics I've noticed that on MF020A the Handley Page parts look to be sat on a section of Pontoon bridge.
On MF007 a 1/25 Centurion part is nestled in under the Duster gun and just before the Panther G part.

With these new pics I may well re-do some of these maint pit maps. We still need to do a bit of work on these though. There are alot of parts I just can't get a handle on.

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

MF018A , is that not a cut piece of Sealab ladder next to the other piece of sealab ( #4) ?

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Awesome updates Nick, youv'e been a busy boy mate!. The I'ds are just staggering how their coming along.

Swgeek, many thanks for sharing the pics, they are a tremendous help!.

Here's the pics I couldn't seem to post a while ago.
Part highlighted in green is from the Hasegawa M4.

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Thanks Stu. Yes, these things are quite time consuming and the more of them there are, the harder it is to keep track of them all!

Re MF020A I think Julien is right in that a 1/48 scale looks to be the most likely scale to fit inside the pit, however all the Bandai 1/48 tanks I have access to have the centre section of the engine deck as a separate section. The piece use on the Falcon is clearly one integral part? - I know Tamiya did a range of 1/48 back in the day, but not sure if they did a Panzer in that range?

Calling Blackpig!! - :) you seem to have a great knowledge of this sort of thing, can you offer any thoughts?

Cheers

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Someone is calling me!! :lol

Hey Nick ! Great job about your updates.:)

I checked my Bandai's 1/48 and Tamiya's 1/35 ,Nichimo's 1/35.
Neither corresponds.:confused

Tamiya didn't sale 1/48 kits on the market at that time. So, we should look for the kit of other manufacturers.

The kits names are "King Tiger"(Tiger Tank,Royal Tiger,Tiger II,Konigs Tiger...) or "Jagd Tiger"(Hunting Tiger,Hanting Tiger...). :confused

The manufacturers are "Aurora","Airfix","Esci","Revell","Monogram","AMT/Ertl","Otaki","Arii","Mitsuwa","Eidai-Grip","Nitto"...

Which manufacturer might had been putting the kit of the tank in 1/48 range on the market.
"Aurora" had it. But this one is not correspond.
"Otaki" had it too. Not correspond.(Arii using the mold of Otaki's)

Info: There were 3 type kit of Tamiya's King Tiger.(Not include present issue.)
They seemed to have changed the mold on the way.:cry

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Hey Nick, noticed in pic MF001 1.2, regarding the 'Carro' part, you have highlighted the top part in yellow, it's all the same part, pic below.

Also in pic MF018A, under part #4, that biggish part underneath, I'm sure is from the Tamiya Hanomag. I don't have that part on hand & the SS site only shows this part on the sprue upside down. Anyone have it for to confirm?.

Cheers

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Hello guys !

I found some parts for MF021. :)

You will have to buy a new kit ! :love

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Hey, Black Pig is back on the case! - thanks for that. Brilliant, and also the info for MF020A re that other tank engine section. I had expected that one to be an easy find as well! - Not sure how best to proceed with that one if we stick with the 1/48 scale plan :confused

Stu - thanks for that comment re the Armato part. Doh! will correct that and add your other find in.

I think I'll just keep cranking these out even if I can't ID very much per map, as they at least provde a kicking off point for you guys to pile in. Many brains and all that! :)

Hey Nick ! You are welcome! :)
I hope you can find the tank engine deck.:thumbsup

I have another info for MF002 #9.
It is not from 1/35 Hanomag. Because, Hanomag's wheel has 6 holes.
But, #9 has 7 holes.
German 8ton Semitrack's wheel has 7 holes. And the shape is match.
I think it is from 1/48 8ton Semitrack. Bandai...may be.
Anyone have this kit ?

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Please refer to the below link for the wheel...

KitMaker Network :: In-Box Review: SdKfz 7 8-Ton Halftrack by Frederick Boucher

I think the same part is also in Bandai semi 8ton truck.

thanks Eric.

Re: Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's

Hey guys, great detective work on those parts, especially getting those two rounded parts scored as well is great. I'll duly update the partmap.

Like you say BP, just got to track one down now!

Cheers
Nick
