Thanks for your support, everyone. I spent the last day or so redrawing the silver-painted knuckle section from scratch, because I wasn't happy with the part I had. It's quite a difficult part to model (well at least is was for me) but I'm pretty happy where I've got to with that part now. Again, it's asymmetrical, it's unbalanced, and the holes aren't centered. But, I kinda love it
Don't go too crazy with overlaying these photos. These are just some rough screen grabs and the perspectives don't match. And I have a bunch more references that aren't public. But as to the cutouts in the curved section, they are not supposed to be parallel, they are each a different size, position, and angle. And as to the emitter. I think you're correct, it's a bit too big on my model. I'm amending it now.Hi Dan, very cool that you are working on this!
Are you modeling the saber with the reference overlaid? I have overlaid your model with the hero photo and see a few inconsistencies. Larger emitter on yours, the cutouts in the curved part that are not parallel, other things not lining up with the ref. I'm very opened to giving feedback or helping if you will
Again, really cool that you are working on this, I don't know if this is what Halliwax called the "exotic" thing you were working on, but it's definitely exciting, just trying to help to make sure you can give the most accurate saber to the community
Cheers
Alright then,Don't go too crazy with overlaying these photos. These are just some rough screen grabs and the perspectives don't match. And I have a bunch more references that aren't public. Just haven't added it yet. But, no worries, it will be there in the end
In this image, it looks like it protrudes at the top, but I think it's either a trick of the angle or some damage or over-polishing near the milled recess. In other shots that I have, it looks more or less flush there. Here's a close-up of the other side. While we are at it, I’m very unfamiliar with this saber, but I’ve been holding out for someone to take some care with the manufacturing. Anakin Starkiller DaveP and Saberz are probably the only makers that could get me to pull out the credit card in these trying times.
That said I’m curious to how this feature would work, its a ring that is protruding on the top portion but is undercut on the bottom.

Hello guys, I'm joining this project, I've been waiting for this for years, more photos if you want the original ROTS version.
This lightsaber is a hero version designed for close-up shots before and after duels. Crafted in resin and vacuum-metalized, it features a mirror-chrome finish with four separate black rubber accents, three gold-color metal screws on the lower part of the grip, a matching rubber nodule just below the blade, and a transparent red resin activator switch above the pommel. A black plastic clip is affixed to the right side for attaching to Dooku's left hip.
At the tip of the guard is a curved metal protrusion detail which runs down the length of the lightsaber interior for counterbalance and which, after coming loose following production, has since been sympathetically restored. The hilt exhibits additional signs of use, including peeling rubber, white discoloration on the clip, and stains to the metalized finish.
