Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

All of that sounds right to me. The earsocks on Brad's aeros in FC are gray which confirms the frames are silver because the gold frames have yellow earsocks. And all of the lenses for the OPs in FC are a custom mix, not a standard color by name.

Here are some comparison shots of 3 different Aero 54s worn by Brad for reference:

Amazing image but is that burnt orange in the middle photo? If so since you got that headshot can anyone use photoshop to color correct it to minic the dark filter Fincher used? Essentially use a filter dark enough to make Brad's hair look brown / black like it is in that plane seen? Curious how the sunglass lens would change and if it would match.

Interesting. I know sunsets weren't even in Oliver Peoples computers as of like 2 years ago. I had called all the stores and only one guy (Rudy) remembered them but said he hadn't seen them in like a decade.

Does Oliver Peoples only exist in Japan and USA? I wonder if another OP might have then in another country.

Are you talking about the largest ones in that pic? Those are mine. a pretty close match to this elusive custom "burnt orange" color IMO.

I also have a pair of Aero 54 w/silver frames so I was going to swap out the lenses.

Oliver Peoples does have a huge backstock of their old frames that they sometimes slowly release to their boutiques. If you go into their boutiques, you may find a pair of glasses that is 20 years old that is brand new. You just never know what they will have. I recently bought a pair of glasses from the original 1987 collection from one of their stores.

Tangerine was the default color in the original Silver Op-523, so the majority of original pairs will have this color unless another color was chosen. I do know that they released a tangerine lighter weight titanium op-523 in Japan that has a more matte finish, because it was possible a few years back to special order it thru some of the US stores. Other than the titanium op-523, the op-523 hasn't been made for many years in its original version.

Nobody really knows about the Sunset, not even the majority of people that work at Oliver Peoples. It is not that popular even with Fight Club fans, and there would not be enough demand for them to re-release it

Mine were custom made. See I did all my ordering over the phone with OP. Rudy was the best made tons of custom lens for me. However, it maybe gothic rose. I am bringing them and asking. On the receipt from op it says "custom lens" 100$ So it may not have a color.

this guy emailed me a picture of the catalog for olive peoples, and they have many different lense colors on them. One of them is gothic rose. Its a black and white image he sent me so you cant see the color, but its on there. He is telling me Pitt's color for the op-523 in the film was custom made and not authentic op gothic rose.

Thats what I dont understand about Oliver Peoples. They could sell thousands of OP523s if they released it again. Why dont they??

I tried. It's not perfect because who knows what exactly was done to the film and also the 3 pics in the middle are all different lighting, whereas the 3 on the right are all the same lighting. But I tried to get a good balance between the 3 to approximate the right images. It's not just like one filter, at least not what I did anyway. It was a combination of a bunch of adjustments that added up. I hope it helps a little, I know it's not perfect, but it's got a more Fight Club vibe to it now. I only adjusted the middle 3 pics. It definitely looks more red now though.

I was at goodwill in Seattle yesterday and got this vintage leather jacket that looks just like Tyler Durdens
It bells out in the back to.
The differences is there are no pocket flaps, theirs
extra stitching on these pockets, its dark brown and the buttons are different.

not sure exactly. I got them off of ebay a few years ago. iirc they were listed as "amber".
