Heh I actually own the file used to make the paperstreet business card. Cost a pretty penny but I use it to make business cards every Halloween.

If you ask me, I think that the gold frame reddish/orange-ish tint aero 54's that Pitt was wearing in public in 1998, are the same ones he wore in the film. I don't think he wore silver frame in the film. Also, I believe that the color of the aeros' lenses are not the " Gothic Rose " seen on the op-523. I have followed Pitt's career and style for a long time now, and I've seen him do crazy things with fashion as far as wearing a 2000 jacket just once out in public and never wear it again. But I really don't believe that he chose not to wear his own frame so he can wear the same exact frame with the same exact lenses, but in silver instead of gold. Just my opinion. The only other aeros I saw him wear were in silver with smoke colored lenses.

Im a graphic designer, I`ve started redrawing the flight safety card so we could use it for large scale printing, takes a lot of time to finish it and its really hard with the small details that are pixelated....

Yeah that is my only "cool" claim to Fight Club fame. Some of the guys on here have some badass screen used stuff, actual brand shirts, etc. I have the actual file for the business card. To my knowledge, no one has it. I have even bought other "cards" off ebay and they are either crappy quality or its off.
I never sell the cards but like I said during Halloween I dress up as Tyler Durden and I hand them out to everyone. I always thought it was cool its like handing out a piece of movie history and most people don't know. I also hand out a ton of Fight Club soap wrapped in the Paper Street logos you see in the plane seen exactly like that. I usually end up handing out around 200 units a year.
I always wondered how many people threw them away thinking they were worthless and how many have kept them.
I have never tried to selling the file since it can easily be duplicated and resold and pretty soon everyone would have it sort to speak.

To play Devil's Advocate for a second... do we know was that lens color available back in 1997-1999? Because assuming it wasn't custom made, it could be possible that the costume production team happened to purchase OP Aero 53 in silver and liked that lens color when they saw it in the store and it just so happened that Brad also owned those same type of sunglasses.
It doesn't seem that unlikely because if Aero's were popular back then and Oliver Peoples were known for their vintage sunglass style it could be just a matter of luck. I suppose the best answer would be to ask Brad Pitt himself. Anyone got him email address? Haha

I'll never understand people keeping their trophies a secret. Keeping the designers and brands a secret. Pure corporate mentality. Pure greed. The complete opposite of what the film Embodies. I understand if you have something you wanna sell and want to keep things hush hush but seriously, how many authentic fc shirts do you really imagine are still out there right now. What's wrong with some other fan being fortunate enough to get their hands on one. Thank you soulinertia; for allowing me the chance to own some awesome replicas of some shirts I've admired for over a decade.

In the plane scene, I am just not convinced that I see silver. Anyone have any images which show silver really we'll, I'd love to see. To purchase a frame and change their lenses for one twenty minute scene which is lit very dark and hardly shows the frame color anyway?? What's the purpose of that???

Well I do act and have been in movies a twenty minute scene especially in a big production movie can literally be a day or two of filming and that is like 18 hour days... maybe more. It could also be maybe all three frames were purchased and considered for the role of the Oliver Peoples 523 (which we see the most of) and the leftovers were used in other scenes.
It is also possible that maybe the other frames were used in place during film and retakes and they decided they liked the look of the 523's the best. I have been in films where your wardrobe changes during takes to try something new or they like something or something isn't working in the artistic vision of the director.

Another example could be the costume folk had the sunglasses left over from another production and used them again here. Some costume accessories are recycled.

By the way Dan, I am not arguing against you just proposing different theories. I would be curious like you suggested for someone to show some images that show silver really well. I could also try asking at Oliver Peoples but I am not sure they will know.
Speaking of Oliver Peoples I plan to try and put this entire "Gothic Rose" thing to rest. I believe my Aero's are in the "new" Gothic Rose which have that pink tinge. (I plan to ask when I go) -- I believe the "old" Gothic Rose have that red / purple / brownish / pink tinge (depends on what is behind the sunglasses) as seen in some of the pics a while back. This would mean that the OP 523 that Black Sugar posted are in fact either a custom color or that the movie had a custom color or color we haven't identified.
If people have sunglass pics from the movie in high definition I will gladly show them to the Oliver Peoples representatives and get a consensus. I know there are two Oliver Peoples I will be visiting one of which is the main one in Malibu. I could get two neutral opinions from two different stores. I have been collecting pics and storing them on my Iphone I also plan to bring an entire sunglasses collection consisting of my Aero's in the color they are (Maybe new gothic rose?), my OP 523 blood red, I will have a Paper Street Shade in red, and Sunglass Shack sunglasses in red.
So once again if people have any pics of Brad's sunglasses, lens, etc from the movie in good definition please share and I will share them with Oliver Peoples. If I can get the lens I will gladly share what they are, name of the Oliver Peoples representative that made them, and what store they are located at so we can all have access.
