Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

Well nothing from JAL on the jacket yet. Will email or call Monday if I dont hear anything. I am guessing early next week it will be here. What about you sphlonged?

Nah he hasn't replied to my e-mail with the pics yet, but this is how it went last time. I know he's a busy guy but I'm sure he's seen them and started on it. I would expect sometime next week probably. Last time he just e-mailed to update me after a few days, then e-mailed again with a tracking number. Soon!

I imagine he's working on ours in tandem since they are the same jacket and leather. I noticed your muslin had your name on the back, mine did too. I assume since he's working on them at the same time he didn't want to confuse them. My Mayhem muslin has nothing written on it.

Also, to address a question D00R asked earlier – yes, you get to keep the muslin. It's just muslin so the fabric is cheap and flappy but it IS a pattern. You could technically take that muslin and deconstruct it into a pattern to make another jacket if you knew how. Or take it to someone who does know. It's useful to hang onto regardless because it provides a context for what your jacket was built off of, even if he makes some minor adjustments in between.

edit: I was also thinking about the fact that I thought the leather was the same on the Mayhem. Here's what I think makes sense…

The leather you chose from the samples he sent was the brightest one. If the Mayhem needed to be brighter, I don't think he probably has any leather that is brighter at the moment. Unless he was withholding some red samples. So it makes sense that the leather is going to be different depending on when your jacket is made. To source the original leather would be near impossible, but something close will be possible as time passes. But even then, it would depend on what the market allows as you have mentioned before. So I'm not sure it's possible to even get the Mayhem a shade or two brighter right now. Interesting how the market determines the final outcome.

I don't mind the odd catch up read. I find it exiting but I gotta say I scroll through looking for pics first ;)

although I do believe that everyone should be entitled to post what they want as far as it follows the rules, I myself have also been annoyed by unecessary posts about not having updates or anything to share. If you don't have anything to share, then no need to post until you do. And I'm not trying to beat anyone up, I beat up myself sometimes when I post long comments that no one is probably interested in, or have no input to contribute. The Fight Club jacket and op-523 topic became a bit much, and I know it annoyed people, as well as myself. Myself being a huge contributor.

Now on the other hand, if the collectors are keeping the most crucial information regarding these rare pieces to themselves, and they aren't sharing pictures to keep everyone appeased, then I guess everyone has the right to post pointless not informational content. Again, I'm not criticizing anyone wanting to keep their collection private. I totally get it. I would do the same if I was a serious collector, but we do get bored here, and need our fix from time to time.

Like this one? GUILTY!! :)

AJ. Any update from Jonathan?

You're absolutely right. Maybe we should all just shut the f up about ourselves and what we think and just post if we have important information on fc

I thought this was interesting. At first glance I thought it was the FC jacket.

I got a tracking number from JAL but the jacket hasn't been mailed yet. Hoping today or tomorrow. Excited ether way!!!!! Cant wait to share some pics.

Thanks for the kudos guys. :cheers

This one was actually really fun to make. I cut and stained the board, then finished with some marker to get the diagonal wood grain look of the original. I believe the pink smiley face sticker is vintage. Adding the white paint was the hardest part, trying to get it to drip in the same spots to get the screen accurate look. Two different phones were actually used for this scene. You can tell by the different paint patterns. I'll post the other angle screen cap tomorrow.
