Not wanting to distract too much from the absolutely jaw-dropping work that you've done with this but...

...what on earth is going on in the background?
I see now lol. Yep that's my naked mannequin. A store close by was closing down and all they had were female mannequins. Haha

I'll stop nervously watching out for a "Here's my Buffalo Bill skin suit" build thread then!

Though, I suppose, technically this is a Wookie skin suit build thread...

Here are some unedited photos I took today. I'm going to try and make 4 masks to sell by December. I'll post in here and on the Wookie builders Facebook group when they are ready. It will be a first come first serve type thing. Not really wanting to take orders just yet.

Thank you! It's actually really easy to move. I have padding in the top of the head, strap on the back and padding under my chin. I just have to open my mouth and Chewie's mouth opens. I do plan on adding a lip snarl when the mouth is open but have not done that yet.
That would be so good, very nice job there, have you made any of these for anyone else or just yourself.

Thanks! I'm making 4 of them right now and plan on selling them within the next couple months. I don't plan on doing a made to order type thing though. I started a Facebook group called Captain's Wookshop to keep people that are interested in one updated on my progress. First come first serve type thing. Not sure if I'll do anymore after this but time will tell I guess. Thanks again for the comment!

Amazing!! So many terrible Chewie's out there (I'm looking at you Prequels), this is near spot on! This is not something I'd attempt, but I'm curious about your process for applying the hair, and where do you even get it??

Thanks bud! I worked hard on this one. I think on the first page I had a progress photo. Pretty much just modeled it in 3d, then clay, made two molds, one for the face and one for the underskull, then glued the hair on with silicone and punched the hair around the eyes, mouth and mustache. This is Kanekalon hair. You can find it at Sam's beauty, Sally's beauty and Amazon.

Such a great job! I’m not on Facebook, but I’m still holding out hope I’ll learn about the finished versions quick enough to grab one.

Still going! Hoping to have these done in a few weeks. Check out my Facebook group Captain's Wookshop if you are interested. Getting the gray on the last one tonight and then starting on the brown hair. They are extremely ugly at this stage and I'm tired of looking at bald faced Chewie. Haha

Update:
I'm currently punching hair on the last one!
Still have a lot to do....razor comb, trimming, filling in around the lips/stache, styling and some make-up at the very end. They should all look almost identical to the one on the far left at the end. My little wookiee sextuplets!

Sorry y'all! On my first run of masks I didn't post in here. They sold as soon as I posted them in my Facebook group. Anyways, I'll post here when I get more done.

Here is a little update on my build. I finished latch hooking my suit and everything. Hope y'all like it. I'm 7' 5" with my lifts on. The lady in one of the photos is my Grandmother. She is 85 years young and 4' 8" tall.
