Face off season 4

Exact thought I had when they were safe for the week. :facepalm

Whats wrong with doing monsters? I thought all his stuff as looked pretty solid so far, when he's on his own team. You want him to do something cutesy? You think a man with that style of hair can?

I did not like the Asian style eyes on the Katie Perry candy bra character. Was it the eyelashes that didn't make it look like eyes? I did like the shape of its face since it had a clean pointy chin and looked doll likish.

Nothing is wrong with Monsters, I love monsters more than most stuff. But this isn't a monster conpetition, it's a makeup one. A good fx artist has a range of talent. All Zorg has proven so far is that he likes monsters and gore and its in everyone of his makeups.

I hate to use Anthony as an example since its all anyone does, but he's shown that he has range and can go from ugly monster, to beautiful demon, to wonkaish soldier.

Just finished watching it and clearly the producers wanted to give other contestants a shot this week. Anthony's clearly stood out from the pack when they showed them (for a quick second) all side-by-side.

They also should have saved 3 weeks of episodes by just canning all three of the ladies that were up for elimination.

ok ..while i didnt mind the Blob sculpture all too much, heres my question..WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MELT DOWN REAL GUMMY CANDY AND POUR IT ALL OVER YOUR PIECE ..ok ..sorry ..had to get that out. Polyacrylic, 5 min. epoxy ..hell ..even tin silicone, hot kicked, would achieve the same look.. paint the damn thing correctly .. throw a couple of half gummy bears in there and call it a day .. your actor wont stick to anything and youd still meet the requirements. Amongst the million things already on this show that youd never do on a real production, if your boss saw you dumping melted gummy bears all over your prosthetics, you'll be looking for a new job.

the biggest problem that im seeing in this year is that there is no level playing field. there are obvious contestants that will never make the final rounds. In the first two seasons, it was a crap shoot for the most part. even though there were some seasoned vets on those seasons, for the most part it was anyone's game. Now we are here at season four ..the finalists are already obvious ..and the rest are fodder. For example ..the bottom 3 on the past episode. We are not watching to see which one of them will be in the final three ..but rather what week they will inevitably be sent home.

I agree; This is season is kinda like Pros versus Joes. The people who do movie make up for a living, versus the people who do it for a hobby.

You're right and that is a good example.

I agree 100%, I was really hoping that maybe, just maybe it was going to be a triple elimination episode and they would all be sent packing.

And this:

I agree that 99% of the work done this past week was crap. haha. One question though, how did Alam Park (she created the glass guy) get away with not being a bottom look?! The back piece fell off and they showed the judges even reacting to the scrap job that was done to cover it up, then... nothing.

left me scratching my head. I figured for sure she was going to be a bottom look.

I had quite the laugh. The Face off Facebook page put up a status asking if viewers agreed with who went home this week and if not, who do they think should of. Probably 99% of the 1000+ comments were Autumn because her gummi bear was **** and she's not good at all.

That was my favorite Facebook thread to date. I honestly have nothing to say on this episode, the downward spiral is too immense.

One thing that sucks about this season is that it does have some people with great talent but the crappy ones are getting all the screen time.

I think what annoys me the most about the show is the constant waste of time. They recap what happened last episode, what happened before commercials, what's GOING to happen after commercials, re-introducing the judges every frelling week and constant "pause for tension" moments leave me screaming at the screen to "GET ON WITH IT"! They could easily show more of the actual work. I want to know who thinks this style of editing honestly makes the show better? I already watch it without commercials and find myself fast forwarding repetative parts of it. :angry

This is part of the reason my viewing habits have become this: Come home from work, eat dinner and watch shows I recorded the night before so I can fast forward through the commercials, then go get on the computer or maybe get myself to work on on a project or two. It's great when Glen goes "And the winner of this weeks challenge is" followed by a "dramatic" pause and I say "a commercial!" and hit the fast forward on the DVR. I put dramatic in quotes because they have been doing it every single episode and the only people who think he is going to say who won are the people who have never watched before.

I have really got to remember to remove it from my list of shows to record at the end of this season. The only contestants I care about are from my state or are attractive, in that order.

It was a way better week this week! I think I liked House's team's character the best since it looked like one of the more realistic ones. Eric's team looking more Halloween-ish but impressive.

I felt so embarrassed for the Jenna's team's character. Cringe cringe.

I have to comment in case the producers or their assistants read this page...
It was my wife who turned us on to this show - she enjoyed seeing how the stuff was done.
Echo'ing things already said - the casting is a mess. Clearly those who can, and those who can't.
Pre-existing injuries...If I had to listen to another week of that contestant's numbness, i was going to stop watching it. Not that I don't have compassion, but if you have that type of problem, you don't need to be in any competition. Seemed nothing more to me than some producer grinning widely with a reality tv pocketbook.
Commercials...commercials...we are seeing a pattern halfway thru the show when they return from commercial break - JUST to have another commercial almost immediately within 2 minutes.
The introducing of the judges every single darn time...c'mon already...

Anthony's Cnl. Candy got edited out from the judging up close scene...c'mon...

Whoever is making decisions - they're turning us off.

She is a real surviour for what you has lived through, and her story is an insperation. That was not a good reason to put her on the show.:confused
It started to become a joke around my house about the hand numbness.
My brother and I would use it as an excuse for anything not turning out right.
Did not take out the trash? Hand's fault.
Did not do taxes? Hand's fault.
Missed an question while watching jeopardy? Sorry about that Alex. It's just this crazy hand's fault.

Zorg and his ablity to think outside of the box wowed me enough to learn his real name. Eric is a real risk taker. That worked for him this episode.

I would have liked to see more of the build House's team made. I wanted to see how well the puppet head performed. The texture, and painting was amazing!:eek
That was good enough to be in a movie. Great choice to not make the 3rd head.

I was wondering if anyone casted a head sculpt twice, and altered the secound pull to save time. I think that would have been a great idea.

Another thing I notice is that this season is how the contestants can not seem to get good work done alone. I have never seen this many team challanges on Face off before. :confused

The woman who got eliminated this week should have pulled herself from the competition. The very fact she couldn't do any crap at all while on the show should have been an immediate elimination. That she didn't take herself out showed she didn't care about the damage being done to others while she's teamed up with them.

I really despise Autumn and her attitude in this challenge just exacerbated my dislike. If I were an artist like this and was paired with someone who's clearly exceptional like Anthony, I would be eager to learn as much as I can from him and try to use the collaboration to improve my own skills. For her to be all 'hurhurhur, I'm with Anthony, I can slough off' is ridiculous.

I have to agree, this "my hand is numb" complaining in a competition that requires that you use your hands is old. Glad she got the boot finally.

It looks like they are bringing back the previous loosers again so at this point i will bow out and not watch anymore. I am not interested in watching people who already lost.

I ws hoping numb-nuts was going to do the stand-up thing and just ask to be eliminated, in case there was any confusion. If the judges had eliminated the other one, I'd probably just delete the show from my DVR schedule.

Now, I generally don't get emotionally involved in any TV show, but when she said being paired up with Anthony was like being on vacation, I wanted to slap her into next week. She has brought down every team competition she was a part of.

I hope Anthony was watching last night's episode, hunted her down, and just punched her in the mouth :behave.

It seemed to me that Jenna was throwing herself under the bus, but she did not quit on the chance the team with the bad feet did worse and one of them were sent home. I know she said a few episodes back what is wrong that causes her hand to go numb, but I hope it is treatable and that she is able to get it fixed. That being said, it sounded like they either pulled their foam out of the mold too early or did not mix the foam correctly.

This is definitely my last season watching. Add this to the list of shows that do not deliver.
American Chopper - Started out showing how they make customer choppers but turned into the Senior vs Junior fight club.
Sons of Guns - Moderately entertaining except for Kris screaming every five minutes, "It's a ______!" , hooking up with the boss's daughter, or some other drama.
