DST WOK PHASER... Who got theirs?!?

Best though would be continuous fire as you hold the trigger down, WITH interruptablity ("refire" as you repeatedly press quickly).

The WOK phaser effect is unique because it has that melodic "decay" as it tails off... doesn't just cut out. :)

Probably it would have added to the cost of the phaser and we should just be glad with the toy we got. :lol

The electronics alone are worth the buy, you could always get a rodd.com phaser and add them to it, cheaper than they charge for the electronics kit!

About the whole trigger issue:

I find this seems more annoying if you release the trigger slower (becasue the sound won't come on until you release it). When you click and release a bit faster, Its almost impossible to notice. Try it, the faster the click and release, it feels like the sound emits on the push.

Thanks for the heads up on the 'dinged box' sale. Ordered a WOK in a less then mint box for $18...not too shabby since Im gonna shread the box ripping it open anyway :)
I know this may be blasphemy but I like the tape DST used better then that prismatic stuff used on the originals.

That's were I got mine from, shipped it was $22 and change. Not a bad price. I could care less about the box. It's a toy and I'm going to play with it!:confused..the phaser. :)
I may grab another to stash away later.
Any videos of this in action yet????? Oh, are the firing sounds close to what it sounded like in the movie?

Other than the text the screen is all black with red x's for the pics. Work PC has blocked that site. Any videos anywhere else?

That video worked for me! And I have the phaser and I didn't even know about the overload setting before vieweing that, sheesh! :confused

To me the effect that sounds the most like what we hear in the movie is "Kill". It has the melodic decay at the end. "Reeeeuuwump". :)

The one I probably like the least is "Stun", the second setting. "Ssssssssssssssssseeeuwump". Sounds like my tires going flat. :lol

The "overload" effect is weird, since most of it is the "Transporter" sound effect. I guess when your phaser overloads it beams itself away to a safe distance before exploding out of courtesy. :sleep
