DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

Looking good, dude!
My local H&M currently has a 10€ discount on all jeans, so I just got the same pair as you and one of those henleys.

Thanks amigo and a hi5 for rocking the h&m henley and jeans yourself!

Currently in bristol at the moment for an interview and checked out the lovely Harvey Nichols who have some acne max raw's in stock - think ill be leaving with a present for myself!

I have a pair of the Stacy Adams in white and one in grey
I distressed the grey ones, and they look pretty good.
I was thinking of dying the white ones taupe; Has anyone had any success with that? What products/methods did you use?

May I ask, which J Crew henley you guys are getting that you like? I got one sometime last year that I just didn't end up caring for... they now have 6 different kinds.

Ive been rocking the real taupe Stacy's in the Madison boots... I've been wearing Stacy's for a long time now... I'll take a pic soon. And as for the dying process I don't think it'd work considering its the upper kidskin leather... The way the leather wears it'd flake..? But then again I'm sure someone's tried dying it by now... Show the process if you do!

Awesome! Ok thanks! I originally got the Jaspe one last summer and I didn't end up liking the fit and the ribbing on the sleeves, which is the same as this one I believe, was not tight...it flared out like a regular Tee sleeve not like the fit on Gosling's arm. This one looks better however. I hope it fits better than the other one.

It fits well, but you must consider that Gosling works out so his biceps fill out the sleeves more. ;)

If anyone could recommend me a good leather dye, I would be happy to give it a go myself.

dude legit jacket whered you find that bad boy?... I basically have the same one obviously the closest to the real thing as we can get... seriously nice. what size did you roll with?

Oh i found it on the bay for $200. It's a little overpriced but it's in deadstock condition so I think it's worth it as colors haven't been washed off yet. There's no sizing on the label though as it was deadstock, but I'm guessing it's a men's large.

I dyed a pair of white Stacy Adams and they came out great. on Page 72 of this thread you can see some pics. I think I showed what dye I used but if its not there I will find the materials list of stuff I used and post. I know you have to get a good leather prepare solution that will strip of the old paint. You also have to get leather conditioner to apply after the dye has dried to help the leather absorb the new color.
Mine are getting nice and worn and the paint has not chipped off, and I have enough dye left over from last time to re-coat them if they ever need it.

Hey for the people who owns the gloves, which size of Gaspar Gloves may i pick?
My measures are 8" , but i read them run a bit larger? should i get 7,5" ?

lets put it this way... My hands measured 9.5 so i got an 8.5 those stretched out a ton... i got rid of those and actually got a 7.5 and those fit okay... but theyre starting to stretch a little too much.. eff id go 2.5 sizes smaller. for real.

Looks good.
I would definitely appreciate the name of the leather prepare solution and the dye you used.

This is the dye I used: Tarrago Color Dye - 0.8 oz.
I chose the color Sponge, but there are others that look taupe. I was going for more of a grey taupe. The dye comes with leather prepare but you have to buy more. If you scroll down through the dyes on the same website they should have a leather prep and clean solution by Fieblings. I also used rubbing alcohol and Scotch Brite sponges, it helps rough up the surface of the leather. You want to make sure you get most of the old paint off or the new color will not take as well and you will have to start over.

I used the rubbing alcohol and sandpaper on my gray pair, to give them the worn out look. I also used nail polish remover. Worked pretty well.

Really? Size down that much huh? If you size down by 1 or 2 are they even wearable at first or ultra tight? Could you make a fist without it being painful? I've waited to get the gloves for a long while now, mainly $ wise since they are expensive and also I too was unsure of the size issue. I e-mailed Gaspar a few months ago telling them my measured size was 8", Tibor replied telling me for the tight fit I'd be good with a 7.5. Now after your post I'm wondering then if I should go with 7" or even 6.5... They really do stretch a ton??

You know what's interesting, and I don't know how many others here have the REAL AUTHENTIC Taupe Madisons like I do, but mine are worn down a lot and scuffed up and the colors that bleed through is white obviously but brown as well.. Mine are heavily worn and scuffed and I can see an egg shell color bleeding through at some parts, but there's some brown and I wonder if that's in the dye or heck, maybe I rubbed up against something. Just interested to know with people who have dyed theirs or have the real deal like I do.
