Thanks for taking the time to post pics fellas. Any chance of a pic of the other side of the part in question? I’d settle for a description.

Lol that would have been soooo helpful, but hilarious.Mike beat me to it. I wanted to reply 79.
I'd speculate that if I wasted a second of my life to cut it nicely for a stupid test, the propmakers probably did that as well for a hero prop.Any chance what you're calling out as the screw in that photo is just this little tab thingy on the side of the V-8 part?

I appreciate that John. We’re all brothers and a few sisters here. You’re a good man scarf man. Well said all around.
Have a little faith in me next timeThanks Cantina_Dude just wanted to make sure there was no boss in the center that could have left the glue residue. Is this a vintage part or later modern reissue?

Trust but verify. I’m always cognizant of a larger audience than those typing, and try to skate between formality and familiarity.Have a little faith in me next time. I wouldn't write that long post if it had something on the back that could leave the residue in the middle. Of course, they could have stacked something in between, so it is just a secondary hint.

I meant no offense, it’s just that we’re not well acquainted and I have a touch of ptsd from the early years of the RPF where there was much subterfuge. I apologize for the unfriendly behavior, and for making my problem your problem.
It means a great deal. I for one, really enjoy peeking in on the creative process of anyone who is willing to share pics and observations. Thank you Tom.if it means anything I did this the other day, a drop of glue in the center would keep it in place. I'm not sure about height, but it does work. These are just proof of concept, not very accurately drilled.

Ah, yes. It’s a relic of an earlier state of the guide from before I linked to v312 ’s masterful post on the Bespin blasters. I’ll move it up to that grouping and make a note of your editing credit. Thanks.scarf man
With regards to this part on the thread.. “resin casting and such”.
The blaster Luke pulls on yoda is actually the “bespin” Hero not a resin prop. It also looks to be the full light port variant as well for what it’s worth. You may want to remove this pic from that specific group..View attachment 1840260
Can you take some pictures with the shortest one on the left?if it means anything I did this the other day, a drop of glue in the center would keep it in place. I'm not sure about height, but it does work. These are just proof of concept, not very accurately drilled.

Its a damn good candidateHere's another shot to show size and how much it sticks out.
Reference for the mount side of this blaster is scarce. I doubt will find anything truly definitive but I'll keep an eye out.
IMO the nipple is clear in the other two shots if you check the full res in Photoshop. There's definitely something in the center and the same proportion as the V8 piece.
