I call him once a week asking for a new run of this and that lol
“Halliwax, knock it off, go to bed”
Let me know how it goes
First coat the delrin parts and let them sit for a bit. Then sand while coated and coat again. Thanks will do. I ordered some today.
I think the main thing that’s going to be annoying is disassembling the entire hilt to polish the delrin. Definitely a lot of steps in that.
Does the cream eventually absorb or dry so that it’s not greasy afterwards?
Also what was your method for buffing the aluminum parts? Did you just hold them by hand and use the scotch brite pad?
LOL!!!has this thread really devolved into ashy acetal?!
one of my favorite parts of this kit is literally the different materials. plastic is usually warmer at first touch than metal, and you get that experience when grabbing this hilt!
I did paint mine. I did not have any problem. I just pointed the spray paint at the parts and pressed the nozzle.Full disclosure - I did not know Delrin was such a challenge to paint. Nor have I tried to paint mine yet. I believe Anakin Starkiller painted his though, maybe he can share some tips.

Sorry guys. I don't mean to be withholding. But, I just didn't really have any trouble with painting the delrin and didn't really take any particular steps beyond wiping down the surface, letting it dry, and painting it according to the instructions on the can. This is the paint I used
