DARTH VADER ANH costumes

Here's some new pics with the new mannequin, new semi-finished cape and finished inner robe as well as the GH helmet that I'm putting up for auction.

It was a lot of work (with still more to go as I am in the process of doing ROTJ) but I felt that I wanted to do something big to give back to this community (especially the Vader community) that has helped me grow and taught me so much over the past couple of years.

Yeah.
There's lots of good stuff in both ESB and ROTJ (especially ROTJ) that I'd like to see captured. If you do as good a job with those two as you did with ANH, what more could anyone ask for?

My favorite helmet, but least favorite suit. You guys have some amazing costumes as far as the ANH Vader goes. Mine's an idealized suit mixture (mostly Empire), but I do have the ANH belt boxes on it. Amazing suits though.

Gino what mannequin did you go with on Vader?

I bought 3 of the cheapie fiberglass mannequins and then cut and bulked them out.
Total pain in the a$$ but worth it. I have an idea to make the arms fully poseable but just haven't had time to implement it.

Just so that everyone knows, I also have the ESB HD caps on my site now. They've been up for quite a while now. Only ROTJ remains.

In regards to the aesthetics of the costume only (not the character or his performance), ANH Vader costume is my least favorite of the 3.
Don't get me wrong, I still like it, just not as much as the other two.
Kind of a toss up between which I like ESB or ROTJ more.

Are you giving up doing ANH altogether?

No, not at all. But I'm working on finishing up all 3 versions, on 3 seperate mannequins.
Things just move so very slowly for me.
