The sheen in the images looks too even or there to be layers; it doesn't look like there's any edges. The design looks like it might be printed on.

Looking at the images (thanks oldzey!), and the flag behind the auctioneer, I believe you're right; too smooth.

I must be unusual, because I don't care that much about this painting. :/

I like the Cylon War painting, but not enough to pay that for it. :lol

And FYI, the Second Coming of ***** Auction is next month on the 17th and 18th.

There are a number of collector/dealers with deep pockets out there. Not to mention the crazy fans maxing-out their credit cards for this stuff. And there is going to be another on-line auction of similar BSG stuff in April. Not to mention the e-Bay auctions going on right now. Recession, what recession?

That's the problem with auctions like this--you only need two fans with lots of $$$ to frak it up for the regular folks. :unsure Nothing to be done about it, but it sure is a shame.
