Re: BSG Auction Link
Thanks all for being a part of the auction. I just found this thread and read every single one of the 27 pages! Here is some info:
This makes me crazy, I wish I had the money to get something, but I gotta stick to my Star Trek stuff.
Anyone notice there is NEARLY NO ONE in the audience? I am shocked. I would have gone if I had been close.... weird that no one is there...
Yes, there were not many people in attendance during teh auction, but we had probably 500-700 on Preview Day, Friday. 200 people registered live that day, but our crowds were smaller than that! So you know people stayed home and bid.
We had over 2,000 registered bidders., beating the previous Auction Network record by 4x. Some quick facts there:
Registered bidders: 2,067
Online registrants 1,833 (previous high was 433 online registrants)
On site registrants 234
Online bidders 603
Online Winners 348
# of Lots with online bids 793 (99% of the auction items)
Unique visitors to AN.com during live event – 17,700
Why are the helmets being classed as props and not costumes?
That is because they are handled by the prop department, not the costume department.
Personally, being a big collector myself (
www.startrekprops.com) I bid and won some great pieces. Starbuck's Flight Suit, Adama's Lighter, some art, and the two Razor First Cylon War Colonial uniforms. Overall, the auction was a blast and I hope some of you make your way out for the next auction.
