Bill & Ted Face the Music

I get the sense that he really loves the character and from everything I've seen of the guy he's humble enough to not think of certain roles as beneath him, especially to return to one that put him on the map.

I'm actually looking forward to this and love the premise.

So, as y'all know, Wal-Mart has a commercial that features present-day Bill and a younger version of Bill (circa the first film). Now, I know this is a commercial, but something tells me that they didn't make that young Bill just for this Wal-Mart commercial. I got a feeling we may actually be seeing young Bill and young Ted in the final film. But I could very well be wrong.

For those who haven't seen the Bill part of the commercial:

I enjoyed the trailer. Just a very silly, absurd, chapter in the Bill & Ted story. Nice to see them all together again and just have fun.

I'm sure once I see the film i'll have more of a view tho. I"m hoping it's good end to end!

We just recently watched the first movie with my bonus daughter, now 16. The movie has aged well and, well it is not a master piece, but a very solid piece of movie entertainment with loveable characters AND a POSITIVE attitude towards a possible future, even if only in Bill and Ted´s realm of existence.

I expect to be entertained. Nothing more, nothing less.

By the way, does anybody remember a movie that coined a catch phrase used by the current youth?

The original movies still hold up. What I'm worried about is that they threw all of the nostalgia-bait into the trailer and the movie is going to be nothing like that at all. They just don't make movies like Bill & Ted anymore.

I've never seen the B&T movies, my 17 year old has suggested watching them but but I'm not sure I'd appreciate them at this stage of life.

The plot sounds interesting. I'm not sure if I buy older Bill & Ted from the previews. They don't feel dumb enough. These are the original precursors to Beavis & Butthead for goodness sake. I laughed so hard the first time I saw Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, I couldn't breathe! I thought I was going to pass out! I went to Disney World quite a bit in the '80s and that line about The Hall of Presidents was just killer.

'You remember Disney World, Hall of Presidents?'
"Good, what did he say?"
"Welcome to the Hall of Presidents!"

OMG..... LOL.

"It's your mom dude!"

That stupid look/smile on Keanu's face when Bill tells him to shut up...

"Strange thing are afoot at the Circle K!" :D

Classic ridiculous line after line and that was just the dialog.

Oh I thought I was going to have a heart attack I was laughing so hard. I think this movie and My Cousin Vinny had to be the funniest movies at the turn of the 1990s. I don't think Dumb & Dumber would have even existed without Bill & Ted laying the groundwork for a new kind of stupid comedy. And I was never a big fan of the Three Stooges so it really felt like something different.

However, I'm afraid with today's "PC" nonsense being taken to the extreme, the movie won't stand a chance as "someone" might be offended by actual comedy so they will have to water down every single joke to make sure no one on earth could possibly be offended by it and seeing that probably includes dumb people, there's still a good chance it won't be funny at all. Having George Carlin (RIP) on set probably helped keep that in check from happening back then, but now who will stop it?

You don't think it's possible that Bill and Ted may have gotten a little wiser as they got older?
