Attention: BANDAI will stop selling kits outside Japan

You're fully aware Fine Molds lost their "Star Wars" license years ago and that a distributor lists what is available for dealers to order. You're deliberately wasting my time right?

Errrrr! You're wasting my time. (Actually, I'm wasting my time, and if you feel your time is being wasted, that's on you.) I can understand that FM has distribution in the U.S., and elsewhere. I don't really feel like researching it--more wasted time--but I have to believe that Bandai also has distribution. The question is whether FM distributed SW stuff through this distributor, and I'm pretty sure that Bandai would not be using a U.S. distributor for the SW line. I have never heard of U.S. distribution of FM SW stuff, my LHSs that had some spoke of getting it through Japan, no a U.S. distributor, and no one else has bothered to chime in. So I'm ready and willing to proven wrong, I always like to learn more about the industry.

At one point during the original run Target had Fine Molds stuff available (at least in their on line store) In fact, the 1/72 falcon was on clearance sale for something like half price at one point. I'm not sure how Target acquired them though

I remember that sale. Amazon had the same deal at the same time. it always seems a little silly like maybe they acquired them but we're supposed to have them and had to get rid of them right away. I got one of those 72nd scale Falcons and maybe 10 other kids at the time

I only see the snowspeeder at this point, with Bandai's 1/144 Slave I and 1/12 Boba Fett as order stops. Slave I is fetching $25-$50 on eBay for pre-orders, so this is a disaster.

Yeah, Earlier today I saw the 1/48 Snowspeeder, 1/72 TIE advanced and 1/12 Darth Vader marked as "low stock"

The Slave I at HLJ is listet with 31,57$, so 25 to 50 $ is still moderate. the prices will rise after the release of the kit an with the disappearing from the HLJ site.

It says 30th of September on HLJ website. So far they are consistent on the date. But there are times it comes earlier then that.
My Speeder Bike and Snowspeeder was shipped 1 week before the extimated release date.

Gonna order few after the "1 unit per customer" is lifted. Normally they do this after the released date.

I had pre-ordered more than one of both the Bandai 1/144 Slave I and 1/12 Boba Fett. They were manually lowered to one of each by HLJ, due to the Disney licensing fiasco (quote: "one per customer so that everyone can get one"). HLJ's 'order stop' is based on what quantity they expect to receive, so you'll most likely see the Slave I & Boba Fett pre-order listings go from 'order stop' to 'discontinued' after the shipping date.

Yeah, the Bandai "Star Wars" kits' instruction sheets are truly step-by-step...almost children's skill level 1.

Mech9 is doing a great work in translating the japanese manuals and colour guides into English. He is working also on the Bandai's Star Wars kits.
