Anakin Starkiller V2 + V3 Builders kit Tutorial

I actually used a dremel cutting disc, and a vice, turning the nipple repeatedly and slicing downwards. The cutting disc makes a perfect right angle to the shaft so thats what I used to eyeball.

Had to take material away from the skinnier half, since cutting discs take a pretty wide slice.

Thanks to Halliwax and trooper Trent for the templates and the tutorials!

I got this d-ring from Wal-Mart in the linen section. It's a little wider than the V2 supplied one, but it's probably not as big as the one on the actual prop.

I finally have gotten the clamp drilled and the grub screws installed with white lithium grease. I kinda like the stainless 3.0mm windvane set screw sticking out like a sore thumb.

I recommend filing the inside of the clamp until the burrs from the drilling are completely removed. It will affect the fit.

I'll try to cut the nipple bung in half and weather/paint on another date. I broke the Graflex clamp washer adjusting the tightness of the clamp card fit. The TGS washer supplied with it can't take much extra pressure.

The holes on mine are 7.75mm, and they look larger than those.

Measured again, mine are really closer to 7.85mm. Still, a hair small, I reckon.
