Yes they're very expensive. If you order from a tamiya distributor it's only 2$ for the entire sprue plus 5$ for shipping and handling

The vacuum hose is correct! Here's a rugh quick job just for an example. I'll cut this better later. But I put the vacuum hose on the pole and did a quick wrap of the 3m tape.

The hose is actually easier to put on the pole after its cut. I wonder if that's why they did that

Here's the difference from what I was doing before with wire. The taping will be better but left photo is with wire

and the right photo is with the vacuum hose.

After taking my axe apart, this cannon connector lines up much better than the other one. The photos are not the exact angle etc. J
