Pauleysolo - Thank so VERY much for the speed responds to my questions. I am scrapping the money together as your read this in order to get my hands on your gear. I most interested in getting the "Spartan Leather Combo". I don't know if I will get my helmet from you or from someone else at the moment. All I know is the helmet will be sw33t and I will need even more money. More $$$ for costuming so what else is new, LMSAO!!! :lol

Thanks for all your help and I'll talk with you all soon. Until then it's off to the gym.

Messures 34" total, 27" blade and 7" handle. I don't know how think it is, but is it to long for the sheath?

Still unsure about how i'll make/ get my shield.

24" is too small for the shield. The movie ones were 36". For the price though, that ain't bad.

Hey...I have a NECA 36" shield "300" casting, that I bought from a friend, if anyone needs it for their costume, send me a PM. I figured that since everyone here is talking about making the costume, it could help someone, since Halloween is coming up.

I thought I would post some pics of something I have been working on for DCon

I've gone in an resculpted quite a bit of the original NECA shield, mostly using it for sizing reference. I have filled in the arrowheads, resurfaced some faces and even remodeled the weathering. I liked two of the major edge dents on the original shield and wanted to maintain a slight damaged but not as damaged as NECA had done. In addition, because this is truly fiberglass and not that heavy crap filled resin piece NECA did, this is actually fit for carrying around (two pounds) and actually using it for costuming events. I also glassed in the handles and straps INTO the body for complete support. Our group will have these shields for Dcon

Our friend Matt at MP Productions is making "300 Spartan Costume" Elements- He has completed the prototypes for the Leather Spartan Speedo, The NECA Spartan Sword Scabbard, and The Leionidas Helm.

He is contemplating pricing etc and will ask me to post in the junkyard when he is ready to offer them up-depending on interest.
