007's new "skyfall" PPKS

It looks so awesome. I was dissapointed when Q said it was an S, since 007 never used one before. But it does look a little short for a PPK/S, hopefully they'll edit what he says before release.
That said, I must have this gun!!

BTW, a fantastic PPK replica I highly recommend is made by a Japanese company called Marushin. They strip down like the real thing and have all the logos and model number stamps on them. The one I bought fires caps that you place in fake bullets, which eject with each fire.
If I remember correctly, I think I paid under $200 for it. (Check out pics of it on my yourprops)

Definitely would make a good base for this gadgetgun.

I got mine at Den Trinity Shop. They used to have several different models of the Marushin PPK (some came with silencers, had brown grips, or had the "early" style slide design), but now it looks like they just have the one that I got.

I need to order that silencer.

Edit: Here's the model gun page on Marushin's site (google translated from Japanese to English)

i have one of these wondering if i can modify it :D

Here's my version of the PPK. Sculpted the grips and rebuilt most of it from a metal PPK replica.

I think it turned out pretty decent. Was thinking of moulding it if there is enough interest.

Now that I think of it, I'm not really happy with how the magazine looks. I might hollow out the mag section so there is space inside to house LEDs and have the bottom part of the mag as a separate battery cover.

im planing on casting the grips of a Sig Sauer p230 in latex and placing them onto my ppk it will mean I can hide a switch inside the grips so when I close my hand round it the LEDs light up what do you guys think

Can everyone making one of these for a JY run please keep my screenname and notify me when these are ready? I absolutely want one, but life has been crazy busy and I'm afraid I'll miss it. :lol

Hello to the group. I thought this would be of some interest here. I started this project approx. 3 weekends ago. I generally make Man from UNCLE props and a few others. I thought I'd try This one as a change of scenery. It still has along way to go, but its off to a start. Ill post pics of the electronics that will be installed to illuminate the LEDs. Its simple and it works well. What I have done is installed a reed switch under the piece where your fingers would rest while holding the gun. This is tied to a small IC chip and a 3v button battery that is attached to the LEDs. I then machined an alumminun finger ring and groved a channel in which I inserted a permanant magnet. When I hold the gun, the circuit closes and the LEDs light up. Someone else holds the gun, nada. the circuit works well outside the grips, now i have try and fit it inside the grips. i will post more pics as this project progresses. This project is way outside of my comfort zone. Thanks for letting me share this with the group.

Here's my progress. It's based off a walther ppk/s co2 bbg that has been broken for probably at least 10 years. I knew holding on to it would come in handy!

I filled in all the roll marks, and I 3d printed the grips. I missed some details on my model, so that's what the red glazing putty is there for.

Don't pay any attention to the thing sticking out of the bottom, it's part of the gas system and I'll be cutting it off shortly. I'll be filling in the grip areas with clay so I can texture them. They also wouldn't have printed well or easily on my machine.

So, I just watched skyfall again, and in the scene where Q shows Bond the pistol, as bond turns the box slightly you can see a pattern on the parts of the grip that are missing in my mockup. It looked to be a "squished" hexagonal pattern, but I dont' know for sure...

I tried to fill in those parts on friday, but the clay shrunk too much, as I expected. I might try reprinting with those pieces already filled in, just not sure how well it will work out.

EDIT: Yeah, I will reprint. I'm not happy with the shape by the mag release either...

That is a very nice effort. The original master of this gun was 3D printed too. You're missing a 2.5mm high and 3mm wide step on the front edge of the grip add-on nearest the mag release. You can't see it on the screen grab due to the camera angle. The grip pattern is a small eliiptical pattern, like a marquise diamond.

any pictures? where did you find this i still think we should have someone who can design 3D prints make a file we can all adapt to our own needs
nice mold btw

Well Shapeways won't print anything that resembles a gun unless someone has a 3D printer capable of that. However I'd be fine with a printed grip.
