007's new "skyfall" PPKS

The case looks like a case we use at my work to lock up our narcotics. A small metal locked case is what it seems. Also are we sure it's a PPK/S? I know Q says it is but that grip looks like the shorter PPK.

Point of interest, what is the function of the slide swich on the grip? It's not there in any PPK model, so I'd make a leap and think that it's the on/off switch for the LEDs.
Other theories?

I would guess the case is a modified NanoVault (not sure which model, but probably NV 200 or NV 300) by GunVault.

Finally saw the trailer, and the case definitely has a lock in the same position as that Bulldog vault.

Man I HATE the S&W PPK. That beaver tail is ridiculous, learn to hold the ppk right and it won't bite you!

You know, I was looking at some PPK's this past weekend and wondered what was going on with the beavertail. I recently had a serious and expensive car breakdown or I'd of picked one up. Maybe in a month or so.

It looks like the bulldog vault to me too, but to be honest a lot of locking pistol cases look just like that. Thankfully, they can be had for a decent price though. :love

Sure you're welcome to use those screen grabs if you want to. Also, he says nine millimeter short, which means 380 caliber. The ppk/s actually holds one extra round, and is internally a little different than the ppk, but externally looks very much the same. Also, those dont look like any pachmayer grips I've seen before!

You're right about the grips, that was a lazy afterthought based on what someone else had said - apologies for that.

But I still think it's detectably a PPK in terms of the frame height;

could someone not do a 3D print with the leds? its such a cool gun if it was done in 3D then have back painted black where the LEDs are the rest blue then its up to everyone to paint it or not soit can be sent around the UK

I don't know about modern PPK/S's, but the original ones were just Walther PPK slides on a Walther PP frame. They were made to get around the height requirement of the 1968 gun control act. The magazine extension was created for the same reason.

I have been told that the extra length of the PPK/S frame is a big aid when firing the pistol in the .380 acp caliber.

David.

The ppk/s bigger grip makes sense for the .380. I've shot .380 and .32 and the .32 was way smoother plus that caliber is what the ppk was designed to shoot. I personally still prefer a ppk .32, especially to conceal carry.

Cool to see the ppk back in bonds hands!

It should be fun to see people making custom grips to attach to pre-existing airsoft pistols.

Also looks all makers marks are gone. I think there's a cheap ppk springer with the lettering gone. Might make for a good base.

Interesting, didn't notice that.

But it does look like the Walther logo is still at the front of the silde. (Barely visible on the first image in the first post.) I may be wrong, though.

Heck, if there are no marks, you can use those blank-firing ones that look like the gun but without any trademarked names. I always see those in sporting/surplus catalogs. They're usually fairly affordable.

I'll have to check out marushin's website to see what all they have. (I've been wanting to get another one of their PPK's anyway, but their website is a hassle because it's in Japanese.)

Looks like there is something up front.

Here's the three images brightened up and cropped to show off details better.

I imagine there some better resolution images to be had.

I still say it looks like PPK vs the longer grip of the PPK/S. Besides what does this kid Q know about guns :lol

the hand recognition has been done before in bond films. the Camera sniper gun from "licence to kill"
