It comes from an oncredibly old amt indy car

good call boatbuilder, hang on in there, and yes be nice to see your progress. i think the only other builds ive seen are darkside 72 and boba flint, man have you seen wat those guys are doin, totally awesome.

ok I see you point but am still skeptical see violet area

this section is incredibly similar to WWII German tank pivot arms for the road wheels I think it is concievable that this is a separate part

Who's still building ...? Anyone left? :confused

Been thinking about this particular issue for a few days...
I figure Steve took my posts over the "MR" thread a few weeks back as an attack of sorts on his work. Let me be clear and state for the record my diatribe was meant to be dirrected at MR for not giving us something which came directly from the archives. Personally as a huge SS model fan that would have been a dream come true. Steve IF you took what I said to heart, know that it wasn't my intention to crap on you. My hat is off to you and I wish you the best of luck in your future projects.

I endeavor on... December will be 7 years on this thing.

Excellent work on that Y-Wing Darkside, but 7 YEARS? Either that's dedication or complete insanity. :)

I hope you find the rest of your Y-Wing parts soon because it would suck to find yourself 99 years old on your deathbed when all that's left to complete your Y-Wing is just one tiny elusive part on the underbelly and a paint job.

It's dedication to find all the original parts which I guess in its self is a form of insanity. All I really need some good refrerence of a few areas so the parts can be ID'd. Hopefully one will show back up in an exhibit in the future.

Here is an update for my Y-Wing.

At this point I am stumped on a few details.

If anyone can help out with these please Pm or email me. I understand if you don't want to disclose what the donor kits are. I would love to buy castings of the needed parts if possible. I just want to finish my Y-wing with the correct details.

In this time of giving won't you help? :cry
