so just got my heron x-1 in the mail. dont have time for pics today but will try and get some over the weekend in as good daylight as i can. initial impressions are good. the fit is excellent. a bit different to my other leather jackets. maybe some of you can chime in on, this the jacket sits closer together at the top when opened than at the bottom. makes me think it is too big but i imagine its to ensure a proper fit when zipped up and riding in it. not that i ride but when zipped up its a great fit, full range of movement etc. the construction is also top notch, the thing feels like a bulletproof vest, heaviest jacket i own which includes 2 indy jackets, a magnoli x-1 in goat and a wested 9th doctor coat. it cant stand up on its own. the colour is spot on in my mind. the only downside i have found is the outside pockets, they are tiny, can't even really fit my hands in there, my magnoli didn't have this problem. is this something found in most wolverine jackets?
as far as my custom requests, heron nailed each one. and as the jacket was being finalised their customer service was excellent, emailing several times to make sure they got my address right and asking things about the jacket to make sure they were on the right track.
like i said pics will follow, in the meantime i will set about breaking this thing in, will probably start by sleeping in it for the next week then might ball it up into a pillowcase and sleep on it for another week then finally maybe hit the shower with it on.
