Ive been wondering why the waist stripes on Kenobibales x1 are so high up compared to PrimoOptimoso 's x1? The lowered angled waist stripes are more like the original and the vanson version. Kenobibales did you ask for higher waist stripes on yours?

It might be as simple as I am shorter than KB so the pattern shrinks down proportionately...?

I could see that, but still that would be aggervating to expect to get one thing and then surprise we moved some stuff for ya to accommodate your size. So maybe he asked for it that way?

hey, no never asked for the stripes to be moved. never actually noticed mine were higher.

Then that's frustrating especially for people maybe interested in trying to purchase one, seems Heron is hard to get ahold of and now if you finally do get it, you'll have surprise pattern changes.

hey guys,
so i think it is time i reviewed my heron x-1.

In case anyone is wondering, here is a before and after of the photos of my jacket - on the left is the great looking jacket but with the pocket askew, and on the right is what Heron sent me after they fixed it.

Ive been wondering why the waist stripes on Kenobibales x1 are so high up compared to PrimoOptimoso 's x1? The lowered angled waist stripes are more like the original and the vanson version. Kenobibales did you ask for higher waist stripes on yours?

My personal Heron X1 is a size small. I'm surprised by the way my jacket and the other Heron X1 Jackets differ! Both of 'em definitely look different in comparison, but my X1 is completely different! SNIKT

I think yours is the original x1 offering from heron, before they updated the pattern to the more screen accurate version with thicker leather instead of fashion leather.

I'd like to agree...but I'm not so sure on that one. I might have to confirm the assumed stripe pattern change.

Hmm well if Thewolverine ordered a heron x1 hoping to get one of the new pattern x1's with thicker leather, and they sent him that one he should be mad. The one Kenobibales and PrimoOptimoso have is in a different league then his. The leather color looks wrong, the front zippers look like there almost horizontal, and the waist stripe is gigantic. I wish Heron had better communication I know they can do great jackets.

I'd agree.....It does look like one of the older patterns, before Drool helped them refine it down somewhat....The stripe at the base is too thick and the pockets are off as well...If that's a recent buy, then I'd be very surprised....

I didn't order my X1 from Heron Leather directly, bub. I recently aquired my jacket from a seller on eBay in October for only $69.57 w/ shippin' included! S'funny... Regardless of the jacket not bein' screen accurate I'm still recognised as Wolverine when I wear it everytime! SNIKT

I've been interested in purchasing a Vanson Jacket too. Since Vanson produces clearly the most screen accurate X1 jacket available. I'm not sure if the sellin' price is crazy or is it just me?

The selling price is high, but no, not "crazy"...Considering what you get (a jacket that will last about 5 lifetimes, if you're normal, and one, if you're Wolverine), then the price is actually rather decent....Dan's work on the conditioning does take it up some, but that's not really "needed", and you're maybe better off doing it on your own after you get the jacket anyway (and saving Dan years of work too)....So no, considering the quality, and closeness of the jacket to the film version? Not "crazy" at all.....

I've seen other vendor's....And I've been impressed by a few, but nothing beats (or comes close to) a Vanson.....And that's the real bottom line...People can afford what they can afford, and that's an entirely separate issue, but Dan makes the best jackets at a price that is reasonable for what you get from him...

In my opinion...(Cool buy for 70 dollars by the way!)

Please advise if the colors are any different than the screen used jacket? The jacket's color is dark brown, like coffee (NOT BLACK) with mustard yellow stripes (Vanson color name: Metal gold) according to the seller. The Vanson site shows the currently available X1 for order is DARK BROWN w/ AMBER TAN stripes.

Yup...That was one of Dan's earlier attempts to work out what the film jacket was....He'd not really set up Logan's Closet at that point, but had been working Vanson to come as close as he could to what he saw on screen...The colours I think are the customer's original request, as they are brighter than the "standard" colour scheme Dan chose....

The screen version isn't those colours, although design wise, that jacket IS probably close enough to pass....There are some small details that were changed upon inspection of the real screen used jacket, including the shoulder seams being internal, rather than on the outside as they are here, and the yellow sections on the front being a touch thinner at the front as well, but it's not a million miles off...It'd pass to most people...

Colourwise? Yeah, nowhere near the movie versions more muted and darker oranges and browns...But still, that might be a thing to hold up as good! It'll definitely turn heads....

Dan has been great with me. It does take him some time to get back to me... a long while sometimes but he is very attentive to details and a nice guy overall so I have no complaints. It is not like I can go to a different store to get what I want so I just have to be patient and wait.

I'm still wanting an X1 from Logan's Closet. The price seems high, but put the durability, quality, and screen accuracy in account and it definitely wins me over Basically a screen used jacket but without a $40k auction price lol. The Leathercult site says it has the 70s leather DoFP jacket for sale, but all it shows is the 3 photos that we all see when googling Wolverine DoFP and no actual pics of a jacket.

I'm waiting on an X0 now actually...Dan's not often able to email me....And if you're one of those who likes to hear updates every week, you'll be vexed...But when he has the chance, he's open, full of information, and more than easy to chat to about most anything related....It's one of the problems with the vendors we have...They're not big enough to have control over this all the time..Some do it better than others, sure, but it's still just a one man/two man team....And that'll always mean it's not easy to get in touch ALL the time...

I'd say Dan is great with the service, slower with the emails....You'll get EXACTLY what you wanted...But you won't be able to chat about it everyday...Basically...

I'm entirely happy with his rate of emailing me....
