WIP - Arkham Knight model for Pepakura

Yesssss! Ive been waiting so long for the chest plate! Can't wait to see it!

Hope you're happy with it... please post a pic if you've built, would love to see how it turns out.

cant rait for the batman cowl i might build my own batman's suit so hyped for the game as well

The Batman cowl might take a little longer... I basically work on it when I get frustrated or stuck on the Arkham Knight model and need to take a break from it.
BUT it will be coming...

Wow outstanding work, can't wait to see you tackle the rest of the armor!

Thanks buddy... the shins and gauntlet are going to be a challenge for sure, will have to see how it pans out.

bandiet thanks for all your work

Hey bud... and thank you for your support. I probably wouldn't have gone this far if it wasn't for all the positive feedback from you guys.

V.2 helmet, V.2 helmet, v.2 helmet, Sorry just anxious:D

Hahaha.... I know, I know. I'm working on it, snails pace, but working on it...

Didn't get as far as I would have liked over the weekend... my pc bombed out on Friday night, so Saturday was spent reformating/reloading all my ****. Thankfully all my work is constantly backed up, so I only lost about a days work.

But everything is up and running again so here's the progress report :

Shoulders have been unfolded, I just need to adjust the tabs, so the file should be up and available by tonight.

I've started on the shin guards... realized I don't have any decent shots of the back of the leg so if anyone has ANY pics, please post them...

The back plate will probably be the next file to be completed... I've basically just got the spine section to complete, then the model will be ready for unfold.

Also got started on prepping for pepping of the version 2 helmet. I'm breaking it down to a simplified version for pep... so the jaw details have been removed. I'll post some pics of the helmet just before doing the unfold, just to get some public opinion on what has been removed or should have stayed or what could still be removed.

Thanks again to all for the support....

Thats awesome!!!! Thanks for posting the pics.... Did you model the back plate 'cause it looks great!

I'm not going to be doing the actual build of the whole suit, my wife's already giving me the evil eye with my Iron Man MK4 that's taking up space around the house... so it's great to see the Arkham Knight come to life elsewhere...

Keep posting the progress pics... although I suppose I need to get the rest of the files out there for that lol...

i never modeled the back piece, another member on the pepakura fb group modeled it, i just unfolded it for him.
currently you both are working on the shoulder and spine lol

I try to unfold when I have time. I am not planning on building the armor, just the helmet. I have been trying to help since Bandiet is sharing freely and that is becoming rare even by RPF standards now.

Shoulder foam modified.

Thanks again bud... myself and the foam builders out there appreciate your help with the unfolds. I might get a bit of a whipping for this, but there's no rush getting the files out there... they're not as complex as say an Iron Man suit so, once the file is released it can be put together relatively quickly. Granted... this is a fairly cocky comment coming from me, as I'm also only interested in building the helmet.

No whippings from me. Take your time, if you try to rush things and start feeling alot of pressure it no longer is fun. What I learned a long time ago is "Life first, the hobby." from a buddy of mine that has been doing this hobby for over 25 years (before pepakura was here) and he burned out due to all the pressure and no longer posts or even goes on the build sites any longer. SO, take your time and have fun with it:)

Dude!!!!! My first pic of a 3D printed version of my helmet... AWESOME.

Thanks, that has made my day.

The back is almost ready for unfold... I just have some adjustments to make on the spine, so it shouldn't take too long.

To be honest I've been concentrating on the version 2 helmet, seeing that someone on the pepakura fb page is also modeling the Arkham Knight.

Please post a pic of the chest plate.... would love to see it. Thanks again for the pic of the helmet....

Unfortunately i m just converting the chest now to obj file, cause pdo file couldnt be read by the slicer of 3 d printer.your job is really awesome and accurate,so i ll surely post a pic of chest and other parts, when inll finish them:)the thing is thta my 3 d perinter is not still so much accurate,so i have to smooth the model, then sanding and other stuff.at the moment i w working with led-s of helmet,so i ll post here pics of helmet.when its almost done:)i m thinking about painting in battle-damaged version, somprobably the final result will be cool:)
