I was just about to post the same caps, lol. This may be as clear as we get. There is a behind-the-scenes shot of the ESPN special showing one of the producers holding a ROTJ-style saber, but the saber isn't clear, and I don't see a nipple...

Yep. Me too. But with so many folk jumping on board his run, it decreases the number who would be in on my run, and consequently raises my costs. Last time I did a Luke Hero run, I had a bunch of people committed, I ordered the parts, put up my own money, then when it came time to pay up. A bunch of people jumped ship and signed up for Rylo's run because it was a bit cheaper leaving me holding the bag. I don't want to put myself in a similar situation, and I also don't want to compete with Nicksdad and screw up his run.
Yes. Nicksdad's saber run will probably put a damper on my ISYHCANL run for a while, since it looks like he's gathered up a bunch of commitments from people who I was expecting to be in on my run.

Ok. I'm waiting back to hear quotes from 2 shops. Hopefully on Monday or Tuesday I'll be able to determine the feasibility of this.

I think the shape of the control box is symmetrical, as well as its placement on the body of the saber. I even think the rails are. True the left one looks thinner at the front, but if you look at the back the width is the same. I think the light is washing out the left one a bit and making it appear thinner, and other optical effects are in play to suggest the other possible asymmetries.Actually the control box is asymmetrical on my model
I've been waiting forever for a Hero Luke saber run (on account of the V2 love that I don't share), and at $100 for a kit I'm so in. Although I'm in agreeance those who think the box is symmetrical and only looks off cuz of angle/lighting of the pics.
