Use "Alpine Stars Scout boots". You will find them straight away. They are $279. Still looking for lower prices.

The lowest I have seen is $250 for used ones... I dont think we will have much luck.

You can find very similar stuff for less than $100 just by searching "motocross boots".

ok so i see you guys are on the subject of boots right now so i might as well ask a question... what kind of boots do you guys think i need for my rinzler suit? on his suit it all blends in so well that i indeed would have to work on the boots to make it look like a replica, but what should i start off with.

is the light color for flynn white or blue/green

Flynn's robes have White circuitry. The blue and green colors are seen on other Combatants, and civilian programs in the EOL Club.

Because of the style, and filters it's a little hard to tell but there are subtle differences. It's a common discussion on here and other boards as well.

Super excited I received my mold making supplies yesterday. This stuff isn't cheap but was highly recommended by my special fx friends.

I'll post progress photos as things turn out well or fail badly! I will be attempting on re- casting my own disc rings. I've made jewels and such before with costumes but this the first time I will be making things with other than hot glue and clay.

now just gonna throw my two cents in there but, according to TRON: betrayal comic book, when clu first turned evil he was actualy green. then when he started building his army he turned yellow. they didnt show that in tron legacy but i guess it was just a mistake or a change of plans.

Attention programs:

If you are looking for an affordable and cool alternative to leather pants, I may have just the thing. I was thinking about different materials and their finishes when I remembered a waxed cotton jacket I once had. So, I thought, why not black wax a pair of pants? Denim is cotton after all.

I went to the store bought a cheap pair of waxed jeans and polished them up. Turned out great!

Hit up your local dept stores, like Macy's etc and pick up a pair of waxed denim jeans. They don't need to be high grade or shiny. Any kind will do even ones that are not black, though black is less work. Take them home and polish them with canned wax (not the liquid kind) just like a pair of shoes. The end result is a very "on the Grid" look without the price of leather. They are much more breathable, too. You could even start with plain old black jeans, or cargo pants, but its a lot less work if they are already a little waxed.

Here's a pic of the finished product. The photo doesn't really do them justice. Trust me, they scream "Grid".

Im new to the forum and I am currently finishing my Quorra cosplay. I have a question that may have been answered, but I don't think I wanna kill the little time I have till my con next weekend.

The question is I got El Tape and I'm trying to figure out how to make it look like the ones on the gloves. I think I can manuver the curved ones. Part of me thinks I should of done the White shower curtain over el wire trick :/ Any help will be greatly appreciated!

How thick is it and how easily can you bend it? I did a folding trick on my 1/4" EL panel and it worked well enough, but I wouldn't recommend it for every situation as it is more likely to die if bent beyond repair.

It is about 1.2 inch wide and it is bendable but you can cut it and it will still work. That is the info on the tape I got, just incase I had to cut it.
