Toho Godzilla returns "Godzilla Minus One"

If anyone was interested, the complete soundtrack is up for preorder:

Import CDs was the cheapest price I found:

HELL YEAH!!! It's funny, I'm always on Fandango checking for re-releases. I'll type in G-1 once in a while just to see if another theater run is coming. It was so successful, it makes sense to bring it back.

I was hoping we'd also get some classic Godzilla this year for the 70th anniversary. Last couple of years, Fathom showed Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., and Godzilla: 2000. But I'll gladly take G-1 again. I wonder if they'll show it in IMAX.

The soundtrack has been out for a while. It's really good. And I think you can listen to it on youtube on an official japanese channel - think it's called TOHO official or something along those lines.

I may be wrong but I believe that one is the standard soundtrack with 17 tracks while this new one is supposed to be the complete score featuring 28 tracks.

I'm not a super huge Godzilla fan, but with this one they understood the assignment. I really liked it. I saw the last couple and they were just okay. I loved the charge up effect and that part where you just see a ship that Godzilla threw.
Just curious, which ones did you watch? I'm guessing they were the last two Legendary ones.

I already bought the standard version so this will be a double dip for me. I should've known better that they would release the complete score. I wouldn't have guessed it would have been this soon though.

Also, the Japanese 4k is getting another run this time with the option for English menus. Still no English subtitles for the bonus material which is frustrating.

It was the last one where he teams up with King Kong and I don't recall the other. It would have been the last two big theater release ones.

Ah okay. So either Godzilla vs Kong or King of the Monsters.

Have you seen Shin Godzilla?

I cannot for the life of me find a pre-order for the Steelbook collector's version. Scalpers snapped it all up.
Yeah, that one went fast. It's limited but it may have just been a first batch that sold out.

Did you notice the steelbook doesn't have the monochrome edition? I ask because I know you really love that version.

Didn't it? I could've sworn it did. Damn! That's all I really want along with subbed bonus features. I don't know if that package will ever happen considering the closest copy is the Japanese import.

Edit (3 minutes after initial post): Ah, the hell with it! I just pre-ordered the Japanese re-issue.

No clue. I don't remember the titles unless they were newer. My dad used to put them on whenever they were on TV so the best I could say is "Maybe?"

I was watching a reaction video and the dialogue had a slightly different translation. I'm assuming they were watching through Netflix. Has anyone watched the Netflix release? I'm just curious. When I watched the rerelease last week, the translation was the same as the first run so I assume that is the more accurate version.
