Tie Advanced X-1 Ref pics

Currently, I didn't think the important part for X-1.
Can someone Id this part?

That part is similar to Hasegawa Leopold part but not match.
I wonder whether it was made by scratchbuild?

Thanks Eric.

Eric, a bunch of us looked at that one for a long time, and I think we gave up, and decided it was scratched. Maybe someone else will chime in...

I remember looking for it Allan, never got close! I still think its a kit or found part, its too well cut to be scratched, ill see if i can go back to it Eric, ive looked at a lot more kits since, but it is a tough one!!!

Allan, Lee

Thanks for your kind reply~
The silmilar pattern was also used on Sandcrawler and I added it by scratchbuild.

However, I'm afraid to build it by scratchuild because it still looks kit part as Lee said.
Also, the same pattern was used on both upper and lower board.
So, I guess...it was definitely from unknown kit???

thanks Eric.

I've been working on the TIE Variants for the last 12 years and have been over the Vader TIE a few hundred times. To my knowledge the piece is not a kit part, or one that is a least known. On one hand the edging looks too perfect not to be a molded styrene part, yet on some of the photos you can see what looks like burr marks on the sides and other imperfections. I'm personally certain that the piece was scratch built.

I'm not sure about the Airfix 1/24th P-51 Mustang, would love to know what piece(s) you are referring to.

Look forward to seeing your build.

I take courage from your post to start this ship.

Regarding the Mustang part, please refer to the attached image.

thanks Eric.

Hi Mark,

I'm also trying to ID these parts and have no many information.
The red part is from Heller 1/400 LaSeine
And the yellow and below pipe part of this are one part which is from Bandai 1/48 Panther.

It is only IDed parts from me.

Eric.

Hi Eric have you I'd these parts

Hay thanks Eric!! I will let you know what I find with the other parts....still looking

Hi everibody
I´m in my own research, and I think IFound a part.
Perhaps everybody knows it, perhaps it´s a mistake, but... just in case, I post it here.

Sadly I didn't think to take more... I was too giddy having just taken a couple of hundred pics of the 8 foot SD and the 5 foot Falcon :D Not sure they'll help you but you can never have too much reference...
