An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

I’m sure you all have it, but just in case, I listed my copy of the original Chronicles book in the Junkyard.
John,

Thanks for the heads up -- while I "have it" -- my book has a completely different cover -- did they make various versions of this book, or the same book with different cover designs?

Just curious if you or anyone knows the answer.

There's a thread here that talks about the differences. Sadly most of the pics are dead but you can get the info.
Star Wars Chronicles

So in the first pic notice the black circle behind the Honda part. The second pic from the Chronicles book there is no black circle, but I don't see any visible piece there. What's up with that?

It seems to be a screw hole drilled later. It seems to be the location where the iron pipe passes through the inside.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but the kit number you need is 04652-7, so either the middle or bottom will work. Granted, nothing changed through the various boxings. So any box will work for you.

The upper kit is R402, and the lower kit is 04652-7. The kit in the middle has both numbers. I want to know why this is happening.

There seems to have been a change in numbering, kits had a "pattern number" up to ~1959, then a "catalogue number" and then a "computerized cataloge number" introduced in the early 1970es. On top of that, there are different packaging variants that should contain the same kit - as Treadwell already mentioned.

Thank you, manugu. It means that there was a time when the old number and the new number were displayed together when the numbering method was changed. I was relieved to know the reason.
