Tom Petty!!!

This looks really good. The motion capture on this looks perfect. It's interesting that there weren't any console logos or PC/Windows like most trailers would have. I don't know if that means they don't know yet or just don't want to piss people off.

So they released the trailer a day early.
Looks interesting. Love that FL vibe including even alligators.
Seems like the game will be one giant Florida Man story.....lol, which is probably where they got all their ideas from.
It got leaked so they figured they might as well just release it anyway.

Press release announces PS5 and Xbox release. PC not mentioned so I suspect it's going to get the delayed release.

Well....as the saying goes...

"Ah s**t. Here we go again..."

In all seriousness, based on the trailer, I'm looking forward to "Grand Theft Auto: Florida Man Edition."

Side note: I count myself lucky that I got to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers during the Dogs Get Wings tour back in '95 at the Spectrum. The artist and venue are gone, but the memories (and I think, a tee shirt?) remain.

I see that the this new GTA game isn't calling it Florida, like the old Vice City did. Instead, its called, Leonida.
So, Leonida Man. Don't have the same ring to it.

I'm pretty sure they started using the name in V.

The original GTA 3 and then Vice City were so constrained by map size that they just needed to rename the city.
But by the time they released GTA San Andreas they had the computing power to actually make use of all the traditional stories and pop culture of LA that ropes in a lot of the surrounding area (even reaching into other states some), so they Developed "Los Santos" to be a catch all area for the regional pop culture of the area.

In the grand scheme of things, "New York City" stories and pop culture don't really reach outside the city, so GTA IV had no reason to try and build a region. It could just be Liberty City itself.

VI is going to be their first trip back to Vice City where they have enough power under the hood to step outside the city itself and pull in all the other south Florida tropes and stories that they had to skip in the original vice city. So they made use of their "Leonida" region. I'd expect to see an equivalent to the Keys in addition to the everglades and Miami/Tampa equivalents we've seen in the trailer.

Game awards just happened, so expect a flood of new game teasers.

Sega just announced a revival of 5 of its classic franchises.

All the game award teasers from the show in one vid.

Im bulking up in level since i failed w detlaff at lvl 54. (I have gotten 2 hearts down). Going to push 100 and see how this mega aard build works on him. Theres a spot in velen you can open to heeep going in to quick level
Worked. Leveled up to 83, unlocked all the extra mutagens and pulverized him with the Aard build. :)

Saw this pic of the new Gold Saucer from FF7:Rebirth.
It reminds me a little of the future area from Back to the Future The ride.

The only game I have truly been spazzed about in years, the rebirth.
In mixed. I really loved things in the first part, and yet also hated a lot with how they handled things. So I'm just not sure how its all going to go down yet. I'll definitely play it, at some point.
I just hope this one doesn't have as much pointless filler as the last.

Honestly, the teaser for Rebirth showed alot of minigames that seem really hard. The piano minigame where you have to press the analog sticks in the right direction in time with the circles looks to be really annoying, let alone how difficult it will be with stick drift. The new chocobo racing and boxing minigame looks cool though.

I dont see how they can finish the FF7 story in 3 entries though. Golden saucer is still quite a ways away from the ending. Might actually still be disc 1 iirc. Reborth will need to cover alot or remake is truly a “remake” where the story itself is different.

Yeah. They showed Cid and Vincent, so getting at least to those parts.
I've heard rumors it ends with Aries' death (if they even kill her this time?) But that still ONLY cover the first PlayStation disc.
So like 10% of the original game was remake, so its like the next 40 to 50 percent needs to ne Rebirth, so the last part and ending can be part 3.
Just seems like they are going about this wrong, or at least rather odd.

I still think a lot needed to be cut from Remake and probably could have gotten that first part to Junon. Then, get on the ship, fight Jenova, and THAT be the the final boss for Remake and save Sephiroth for later. Then this new game starts in Costa Del Sol.
