The Mandalorian (TV series)

There was talk about a "spoiler" for the "star wars universe" in this episode but I'm not catching anything that seems substantive. Anyone know what they're talking about?

Fair warning, possible spoilers ahead

I loved everything about it, I loved the pacing, the editing, the camera angles. And think about it the editing was great he must have visited 3 planets in the first episode and it all seamed to flow perfectly

I love how he’s “making his armor”..

I actually watched it 3 times in a row, because ig11 is now one of my all time favorites, hope there’s more of him

I think that droid can use some anti-depressants though.. always willing to give up too easy, which I found hilarious!! Lol

I absolutely loved the whole “hidden empire”. I totally felt like I was watching a Argentina nazi movie, with the Nazis retreating and hiding in Argentina...

That scene with the dirty old troopers.. man! Awesome!!!

The only thing that kicked me right in the nuts was the surprise little thing at the end..

I’m just not a fan of it, cute as all hell.. but why do we have to go there? Just leave some things alone..

Other than that, can’t wait to see more

I didn't think about the Argentinian Nazi allusion, but it's an interesting interpretation. I wonder if that was intentional, and if so, did they specifically seek out someone who had (or could replicate) a German accent.

As far as the "surprise little thing," it didn't bother me at all. I think it's a MacGuffin. It'll be the catalyst of conflict this season, but it will be gone in some shape, form or fashion by season's end.

Did you watch until the end of the episode...?

Sean

Yes, but that's not what I was informed it would be- It was stated something to the affect of being within the first 10 minutes or so of the episode.
Even then, seeing a baby yoda-species isn't really something I'd consider as anything grandiose

Fair enough, but I think others might disagree with you.

In consideration of some of the other members who haven't had the chance to watch it yet, I'd recommend you edit your post.

Well you'd need to edit yours now.

Anyways, I don't feel it's a big deal at all- just another character addition. It may have a purpose in the show's plot I guess, but unlikely in the grander scheme of the universe considering how bad the sequel trilogy has been thus far, not to mention how boring the nucanon EU novels have been by contrast by original EU content. Then again, the only person I have faith in LFL to turn a pile of garbage into the next Luxor resort would be Filoni, but I'm still not as trusting with Favreau just yet

Please don't read if you haven't watched.
"I saw someone say that they didn't get or like the forge seen. I liked it but it is one of the places that I wish they would have spent a few more minutes on. I had to watch it again to hear her say that this is generous and would help more foundlings. So I assume he could have gotten more new armor but that stuff is valuable to help orphans I suppose."

What I liked most?

When the member of the “Blue Man Group” mentioned “Life Day”...

This means that “The Holiday Special” is officially canon—oh yes, it happened folks.

Somewhere, Itchy is flashing a toothless grin.
